Tabbed design view for multiple files
Similar to Photoshop or Illustrator (See attached file), it would be valuable to allow for multiple files to be opened and arranged in the design pane using tabs. This would give users a quick way to switch between their projects and will provide a much better workflow in general.
This is a must for me!

Such a basic feature, even more so for XD than a lot of other Adobe applications.
Please Adobe, get it done. -

Working on multiple files it would be helpful to keep all my windows together. It's frustrating to have 5 separate files overlapping each other.

Is this ever going to happen?
Person submitted in May 2016, and its under review since July 2016.
How hard is it for Adobe, one of the biggest companies, has the slowest turnaround time with features! It bewilders me!
We use XD to create our user experiences, and user interfaces yet, ironically its one of the least user friendly design software on the market! How in all hell does it take 6 YEARS to implement all your other software has a tabbed view!

I am sorry, but slowly you loose me as a user.... Should be a default function

Hopefully this feature is added soon! Until then, I'm jumping back to figma. :/
This really isn't a difficult feature to implement, come on folks!

A feature under review for 5 years?!?! This should be there from day one.

Why do you guys take so long with XD? All your other software has this feature, yet XD doesn't... What's the reason?
You have hundreds of requests from as early as 2016 and half of them aren't actually being worked on even though it says feature in progress, feature under review, and action required..
But there is no progress, there is no action taken -

OP posted this in 2016, its 2021 and we still don't have tabs. What does the product team do at Adobe? Twiddle their thumbs I assume...

Like Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, and web browsers.

It's silly that we have to ask for this function.. :/

Please, for the love of the gods, let me put my XD documents in tabs. I can't live like this.

Starting to think we need to move to other software

For the love of everything...PLEASE get this feature moved up in your backlog. PLEASE!!! At least let us know when we can expect it. This just doesn't make sense and is incredibly frustrating.

I'm glad that this issue is already posted here. But confused that this topic has been here since 2016! Seriously Adobe! It's a standard feature for sure: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Figma have tabs - but not XD. Please please please add them. 🙏

XD - like most other applications in creative cloud and on the Mac OS platform can gather tabbed documents with the "gather windows" option
The fact that XD can't do this for working on multiple documents simultaneously is a missed opportunity for increased functionality.
You should also enable dark mode - it's silly that this app doesn't have interface preferences to do this.

How is this not standard? Also, how is there no proper scale tool for a group of objects and text? (Looks up Figma pricing... "It's.. it's free?")
