Import/Open Sketch files
I would like to transition from Sketch to XD, but with so many clients files created in Sketch, I would need an easy way to open the Sketch files in XD and save them as native XD files.
Hi everyone,
Happy to announce that we’ve just released this feature!
You can bring a Sketch file into XD by simply opening it with the CMD-O command or by selecting “Open” from the “File” menu. It automatically converts into an XD file with your artboards, layers, symbols, and effects ready to use.
You can find more details about March release here:
https://theblog.adobe.com/march-2018-update-adobe-xd/
We’re continuing to improve this feature, so expect even more in the upcoming releases. In the meantime, check what’s currently supported here:

Let us know your feedback.
Cheers,
Dan

Absolutely agree with this. If these were import export flexible, plus Mirror-like option, plus all the major plugins functionality (Invision/Craft, live previewing) were built right into XD, you could blow that app out of the water.
A major thing I'm also looking for is InDesign-like functionality of Find/Replace text and styles.

Would be great if I was able to open and edit Sketch files in AdobeXD. It would accelerate migration from Sketch to AdobeXD a lot.

This would help so many designers switch from Sketch. The more you can ease the switch the better, and this would definitely help.

Yes. This would be very good. Maybe this is something for the Xd app on mobile though.

This would be super useful. My team is currently using Sketch, all our screens are in it. If we could easily transition to XD, it would be a huge boon.

I'm surprised this isn't higher in the backlog as most of the industry uses Sketch and already use similar prototyping functionality via Invision / Craft. It's literally the only thing that's keeping me from using XD fulltime.

What Vincent said. Sketch on Mac is nice, but the ability to open Sketch files on Windows would be priceless. Sure, tight teams can bridge the gap with Avocode, but what do freelancers do?

This would be really helpful to me as I have a large library of Sketch files, so to even think about using XD I would have to be able to use them.

Adding to this, it would be quite useful since Sketch is not going to be released on windows.. and XD is..
