Dear Adobe XD - Team; A Design Software without external connecting points ist like Robinson Crouse on his Iland. I know there are many issues, planing, running against walls "behind the scenes". But strictly forward, a "stand alone" an "looks like great" cannot be possible in this decade of interactive movements. I maintain mockups in html/css that call on xd embeds for more complicated parts of the UI. Need to be able to link out to illustrate help, contact, go to a web page and transition to other features for a full experience. Need more flexibility.

I just made a project where this is REALLY needed. I thought that of course XD could do that...

It would be useful if you enable links in the prototype. For instance, take a look at this prototype (the first slide):

Links are unclickable or untappable. It’s something so native to the Internet and contrary to what everyone expects from an online resource.

It would also be useful if we can embed videos that way. If this video was enabled, it would bring us closer to the final app version. Something that we can use more reliably for user testing.

I need to be able to link with external webpages since my website has other programs on the server which run at different links than the website.com

Yes, this would actually be really really useful. We've been doing some user testing on early-stage, super low-fidelity prototypes using the share link from XD, and we often run into situations where we want to link the user to test an external place.

I would love this feature, mainly because my clients keep asking, "Is this button/link/element going to link to that thing we agreed it would?", to which I keep having to reply, "Yes, it will - my tool just doesn't have that feature. I'm thinking of switching to Mac so I can use Sketch which does." Come on, guys!

Why on earth are you not putting more energy into making Adobe XD useful enough to warrant using?
No Swipe animation creation?
No Web URL linking
No Video embed?
