FFS! This is seems so basic. Powerpoint had this feature years and years ago. My guess is: ADOBE CAN"T DO IT. Why else would they be dragging their feet on this? They have moved newer, lower priority items into their backlog. This remains permanently "feature-under-review" 4 years of this, it's a joke. If you can't (for some reason) implement this feature, come clean and admit it. Then i can stop wasting my time coming on this forum every few weeks to check, be disappointed and leave another negative comment. Also i am going to make an ACCUSATION that may sound a bit crazy and far fetched but before people dismiss it out of hand please read through...Are Adobe are suppressing this feature? How? They are manipulating the vote counts (sounds crazy, take off your tin foil hat you say) well a cursory look at all of the top voted features show (excluding the top voted feature) that they have significantly less comments then this feature request, FISHY! It seems that the next most feature request to this one has only 40 less votes but more than half the comments. To me it would seem obvious that there is a correlation between comments and votes. So there is my wild-eyed, covid-19, lockdown induced theory. FFS just either come clean and admit there is some reason you can't do this or (even better) DO IT!

I luckily didn't get too far in my project before I realized I couldn't add external links. This is such a basic tool, I didn't even think it would be an issue. Disappointed because I loved working with Adobe XD, but it's basically useless to me now.

I am completely shocked and appalled, as Rosalie previously commented, I worked for days on my prototype without even once thinking that this could be a problem. How is it possible that a tool built for web design, for UX.. UX!!!! doesn't have such a basic feature? And you receive user feedback for years now, asking for this "feature" (can it even be called feature?) and you completely ignore your users. UX means nothing for a UX tool, great! How many people do you need to tell you to put a damn link in it? Also, Rosalie, I think enough of us pay for the whole Adobe CC to "pay for this feature", you shouldn't worry about that.

Never expected that XD program can't have an external link. I did a lot of work already, not expecting something so stupid to come. I really can't believe it. Worked with Adobe for almost 20 years now. Never had such a disappointment with Adobe. Please make it available and make lots of people who are asking for years now, happy ? If I need te buy it, NO PROBLEM. But please make it available. I don't want to start over with Figma. : - {

This is absolutely necessary... I am brand new to this, within an hour of beginning I realised this was missing..it is that fundamental!!!

Link a button to an external url is extremely necessary. It is very strange XD be unable to do this.

This feature needs to be added asap

This feature is super necessary. We do lot's of prototyping that requires us to link out. For design and user testing, hyperlinks would be enormously useful.
