Generate specs / measurements / style guide for developers
What definitely needed in the Design community is to ease the design-development delivery-review phase. To unload both of the sides.
A lot of different platforms, tools, plugins were meant to do that and none of them is fully unloading and simplifying that process.
PNG Express, Specking, Avocode, Markly, Zeplin, Craft, Marketch etc...
I believe there is a need in having some specifications delivery service, styleguide generating service.
Specs:
+ Measuring distance from text line height (because that's how developers do), not font size.
+ Ability to adjust the UI on the go with automatic sepcs changing
+ Ability to select and automatically calculate the parameter type (dp, px, pt, em, sp) with defining default
etc.
Styleguide:
+ Automatically generated colour palette. And when you change the colour in palette it changes everywhere in the UI.
+ Font styles
+ Generating assets
+ Generating SVGs
etc
We’re pleased to announce that our Design Specs feature is now available as a Beta in our November release. You can read more about it on our announcement blog post here: https://blogs.adobe.com/creativecloud/november-update-of-adobe-xd/
The Design Specs feature is just the first step for us in this space, and we’re looking for your feedback on the feature. In order to focus on the feedback, we’ve created a new feature area that you can target when you file new ideas: 09 Design Specs. Please remember that you should file one idea per submission, so that we can better aggregate your feedback.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! This is beautiful. I am quite literally shaking with excitement. I have only tested it on a couple prototypes but this is freaking amazing. As an avid user of Adobe products for over 20+ years, I have never been this excited for a feature. Thanks again and keep up the awesome progress. I am looking forward to more and more improvements. Now I get to go and kick InVision, Sketch and Craft to the curb!

This is a crucial feature for design teams. Our team is holding off the move to XD until it's available. Any ETA?

Something akin to a "code mode" to gives developers access to the code that can give them info such as basic CSS.

As others mentioned, I've also expected to be included in the October's release on Adobe MAX. Currently the handover between Designers and Devs is quite painful and seems that the easiest way is to use Sketch (with Measure plugin) because it exports html and automatically generates the code for text styles, you can click and see dimensions and distances... really helpful :]

Bring in Support to export Measurements at least.
We can wait for the features like Generate HTML/CSS inside XD but there should be some way developer can see exact measurements and colours. -

We love XD, but cannot transition our team until we have this feature.
The ability to add plugins like Zeplin would be a workaround if this feature is not going to be released soon.

You guys having such a talented team failed to notice simple features that can give your softwares a edge over sketch and other tools in market. With invision new studio software, your gonna face it bad , unless you plan ahead or your out.

any ETA on this? and how is it going to be? something builtin within XD like an export or something? or integration with 3rd party like Zeplin and such?

Looks like that this feature is coming in Avocode

Wow, can't believe this wasn't launched in v1.0. I had to switch from Adobe XD to Sketch specifically because this capabilities were not available in XD. I'm a fan of Adobe products, but I would make this a priority.

I'm also very disappointed that Adobe released v1.0 still without a developer handoff tool. No point using XD without it. So comming out of beta changes NOTHING.

I join everyone here:
White in beta, developers could just install the beta XD,It's too expensive to pay CC-License for all developers for them to look at files read-only.
We would need to go back to another solution that pairs with inVision.

Thought that be the top feature of the 1.0 release! –.– Please hurry up with this.

Would be really good to be able to see all color codes, typography properties etc.. Pretty much like Sketch > Zeplin for example. Makes handoffs and communication so much easier and the design is much better aligned to the actual design.
Is this something that will come in the future?
Thanks.
