Enable timed transitions (not triggered by user interactions)
Enable timed transition, something triggered by timing and not by user interactions (e.g. a notification from a server or a splash screen going away in a couple of seconds).
You can now use timed transitions in the September release of XD! If you can’t see the update, select … from the Creative Cloud desktop application and select “Check for App Updates.” If you have additional suggestions for this feature, please file a separate request!

Is this update only for Mac? can't see "Time" on the dropdown list.

Hello Elaine- I'm pleased that an idea I suggested has been adopted by XD.
Now, as I've shown a creative interest in the progress of CC, is there any chance you can nominate me for a reduced rate on CC as I can' t afford the going rate as lt is. Lots of love Al!!! -

The feature works great and is really handy, however:
The prototype/interaction popover looks ugly AF now.
With all these dropdowns it is starting to look like a registration form page.
(stop using dropdowns for every small thing)- way too many dropdowns, some big, some small, not aligned (use a switch with icons / sliders instead)
- lack of design element like icons makes scanning for what I want slower
- Margins have been made bigger in v11 and it is not aesthetic at allCan you please show a bit of care when designing new components

I would like to be able to create interactive objects with links to pages once and use in more than one spot: this is very useul when you have a menu that is the same over many different pages (and has the same links).
Now that we have overlays it could be very easy to achieve the result if we could have them loaded with page even without user action.
Sure you could think of including interactions in Symbols, but I think that this task should be in the Prototype panel and it would be much easier to do it with "self started overlays".
I hope my idea was clear :)
(obviously if there is another way to achieve what I need, let me know)

These timid transitions will make our projects more presentable and will give us a satisfaction too.
Still waiting for Andrew to announce those new features in the next update. -

We need an update on this Adobe!

Still no updates on this? Come on Adobe, we need the basic function of timed transitions already.

Have the ability to link artboards with an option to transition after a specified period of time.
Often there are "thank you" or "confirmation" screens on a website or app that will transition to the next screen automatically after an arbitrary period of time. It would be nice to demonstrate this in Adobe XD without needing a 'button press' to initial every artboard transition or overlay.
It would be particularly help if you could add this timed event within the 'Overlay' as well, with an option to 'Close Overlay after __ seconds' so you don't always need to drag a link back to a previous artboard if what you're trying to demonstrate is a 'Thank You' message that appears and then goes away.
Other times you'll want this to be an option under the 'Transition' tab because if the 'Thank You' message will appear temporarily in the middle of a sequence of Artboard Transitions instead of at the end of a given sequence.

This has been started, not 'under review' as it is on Andrew Shorten's Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/ashorten/status/1010192429801095169

Overlay Timer (Duration)
A way to make certain overlay items only appear for a certain length of time and then disappear again

This is a big, problematic, hole in an otherwise great tool. Timed transitions are vitally useful for simulations.

I am in the middle of a projec and realized that there is no such thing as timed transition.
Out of all missing functionalities this might be the most essential one to get fixed.

this is extremely frustrating not to have. and a very simple tool that even the more unpopular prototype building applications have. please get with the program!!!

This is critical.

This together with hovering effects are what I need the most.

Would love to have this for chaining animations too....Like navigate to a page and then once you get to the page, have something pop up or animate. Right now, in order to achieve this effect, you need to manually press the screen (two taps instead of one)
