Hover effect is never going to happen. Just seen a message on twitter with an Adobe rep stating that hover is on the roadmap but with no ETA. !!! oh dear

This feature is absolutely necessary to make Adobe XD my go to UI/UX design tool.

Once you implement that, it would be amazing if you could integrate the hover with the "auto-animate" feature.

You do NEED to make this happen, Adobe — you've already had plenty of time since the days of beta Xd to develop a very necessary function like a rollover/hover function...

hmmmm 5300 votes? thats roughly $315,000 a month of your revenue asking you for something. If that doesnt get Adobe moving on a feature update, they really shouldn't let us ask for one. It would be easier to accept that way.

This would give the designs such a boost. Please make it happen :)

All I want for Christmas is an overlay that doesn't move when I scroll during demos!

Right now, most of our clients wants to see interaction when mouse is over an element. We are seriously thinking about switching to the rival application over XD.

I think that we are not the only ones, who are about to switch, because of lack of hover, which is a crucial feature.

Hover is desperately needed, pliiiiiiz add it soon!

I feel my client's need. "Hover" only can fulfill that. Adobe XD is now more matured than ever. Please, As an pro-user I can expect XD, the best in the market.

Unbelievable and unacceptable that such a common, simple and necessary feature/interaction has been neglected in the backlog for OVER 2 YEARS! This is literally a deal breaker for me giving XD a real chance at becoming my go-to responsive design and prototype tool. Think beyond just hovers for links/buttons and allow for symbols to have various states (like the old Flash symbols and MovieClips) or allow for behaviors (i.e. time, interaction, position or shape dynamic based like Flinto and others).

I guess I will keep using Figma, Sketch/Flinto, Invision Studio and/or Axure for full responsive design and prototyping projects for the foreseeable future unless Adobe gets a clue and gets this 'backlog item' into production. Unreal Adobe... and really disappointing. I hope you are considering long press and 3D touch support for mobile devices as well while you are at it!
