Need Little bit tapping/hover effect on list/buttons/links during presentation to client. Its give an actual working product feel and help to make decision.

This is something I assumed would be in there. I think as a standard UI feature in most sites it should definitely be part of the kit.

Repeat grid is cool. But more important to my daily activities than Roll-Over effects? Absolutely not. Gotta wonder who set the priorities of development, designers or marketers trying to differentiate from ... Flash?

I think tap/hover effect should be implemented as part of a more general animation system, as described in the thread titled "Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)"

Wait, what? I've been investing in learning this tool and now I find out you can't create a hover effect? The whole point of us using XD is so we don't have to try to explain to our clients what things are going to look like.

hover over[drop down, popup, slide] n when scrolling resize these are basically big frustration with XD

Wait, you're saying there is no hover state in XD? this baffles me. for desktop application prototypes hover states are INCREDIBLY important. i can't even wrap my mind around why this application was launched without this core functionality. our company is trying to shift completely to XD, but i can't even use it until the basic functions are included.
if this was started march 25, 2919 why on earth has it not shipped yet? can someone from adobe PLEASE update us on a timeline?

just had to create over 50 artboards to try to simulate hover and selected states in a sticky nav.
Ask the guys that uses to build Flash to help!
- create a button symbol.
- Create 3-4 states.
- Allow for different interaction.
- Group into a component
- Allow for more than one transition (eg. one to hide an object, one to trigger an overlay)
- possible use of anchor tags or triggers to simulate changing states - eg. Scrolling up an artboard - can trigger button states of a sticky nav -

Use: Tooltip for Icons in menu to show users what they expect to navigate to. And because of this don't need to redirect from the overlay I use today. Would be super useful!
This would keep the Auto-Animate running smooth in the prototype and don't break the bond

Please put the hover feature in Adobe XD, it will make prototyping much smoother than clicking to show hover features for web applications. At the moment its super clunky.

So, how does Adobe recommend designers communicate how button hovers work? Because putting it in an email, or making note of it in prototype sure as hell doesn't work.

This is such a colossal and obvious oversight it makes me question why.
I would not be surprised if / when this gets added it's hidden behind some pay wall.
At any rate the lack of this feature has made our agency and partner dev shop completely abandon Xd.
It's just mind-blowing this was implemented from the start.

I would love to have more trigger options like the followings.
1. Hold Click
2. Double Click
3. Mouse Down
4. Mouse Up
5. Mouse Over
6. Mouse Out
7. Hold Tap
8. Double Tap
9. Touch Down
10. Touch Up -

Agree with everyone else, this is necessary for a lot of users.

How can you not have a hover feature after 2 years?

Hover is a must. I will not buy the license until this feature is not done. Them XD will be great, for now is not.

This is a necessary feature. Please implement mouseover in your prototyping area.

Like everyone else, a hover feature would be really valuable to simulate ... well, a lot of things! Please! There are still a lot of desktop UI designers out there.

Joining the long list of people that are waiting for this *very* necessary feature.
