Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Any day now! Video is the now and the future. It's used on sites and apps daily. Please please please get this function available as an asset for xd asap. And thank you so much for creating xd. Love it.

    wow, adobe. You guys are the standard in all things design. The ability to add video and audio should have been on the ground floor of this development process. Its hard to believe you neglected this.
    I know you can look at the 150+ comments in this thread and understand how important this is. At least let us know when and IF you are working on it.

    I've been using XD extensively and trying to push it as much as possible.

    It would be great to add in either GIF animations or even movie clips into the prototype. For instance if you need a clock countdown or repeat animation.

    The prototypes I'm building at the moment would look amazing with a few animations continuously playing out on a loop. It would simulate a game environment perfectly.

    Maybe I'm asking too much, but how about the videos?
    With the modern web design trends we see video backgrounds more than ever before.

    What about adding videos to the prototype? Let's say as a background?

    Extras:
    1. Embedding of Youtube/Vimeo videos.
    2. Integration with After Effects and Premiere Pro (for example: right click > edit in After Effects)
    3. Export videos as animated GIFs.

    Es necesario tener vídeos, audio y gif animados para realizar un demo.
    Sin esto no podemos presentar webs o dispositivos interactivos sino estáticos.

    Por favor desarrollen esto y la herramienta ganará mucho valor.

    An added 'please!' for this feature. This is such a crucial tool for game-makers using Xd to plan UX for game experiences.
