Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    I was excited to us XD then learned it doesn't work with video. Bummer.. wha whaaaaaaaaaaa, plan B. Hurry up Adobe.

    It would be awesome to have animation features from AE or Animate could be some how integrated with XD, then it would be the only software I will use instead of using 4 different ones for a single project.

    I always have to design my projects on XD but when I have a client meeting 90% of the time they would ask me how a behavior/animation is going to work or look like. so I always have to use other softwares like AE or Principle in order to show a working prototype with everything I am envisioning so the client can see the big picture.

    I hope this makes sense.

    Using it, as effects in icons or simulate interface behaviors would be great.

    This feature will be great to show moving backgrounds, interactive hovers, sending animations, and other amazing compositions that will set apart from Sketch and invision.

    Don't get behind please, I love Adobe.
