Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    There should be a feature which we can add up media through URL linkup an only can see preview on web or in XD preview to reduce app load to keep projects smoother.

    @Jorge... yes. this would be the correct way to talk around a "prototype". The only argument I can see so far for video is if you're building an Alexa Skill on the Alexa Show device. Even still, prototyping should not be directly reliant on a video playing.

    @Dan... whining over playing video inside of a prototype is an absolute edge case need. If Adobe customers are jumping up and down over an edge case that's a clear sign Adobe is doing a good job in other areas. Hats off to Adobe. I wish we could downgrade a feature request.... I'd do it for this one. I also wish the animated gif and video were separate feature requests. I'd vote yes on animated gif and no on video...
