Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    This will take XD to the next level. I would probably switch from PS to XD for all web designs if video capability is implemented.

    Definitely not overkill. I am just creating a prototype of a chat app with chatting, voice and video calling.

    In terms of getting the project functionality across it would be incredibly useful to play a sound file when an audio conversation is happening and a video, when video conversation is running.

    It would get the whole functionality across so much faster.

    Not everyone has the same imagination - otherwise we wouldn't need XD at all - paper and pencil would do.

    It's a logical and required evolution.

    Seriously - please make this happen. Every webpage nowdays has integrated videos. And with this feature we could give our clients the needed experience. I can not belive it. 4years ago the community asked for this

    This is the only feature stopping me from using Adobe XD as a presentation tool.
