Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Since some animations are not to be made in XD, I would like to import any AE or Premiere Pro file or movie or GIF in Adobe XD. Come on guys, this is why I bought this "Creative Cloud" in the first place.

    We're able to export from XD to After Affects but aren't able to bring the animation back to XD? I hope that we'll be able to import video to XD in 2020.

    Hugely important - I teach classes with XD and every year the students complain about the lack of this fundamental feature.

    Please, Adobe, GIF and Video are now ESSENTIAL to any website, and we need to show our website prototypes with these features.

    These requests go back to 2016! Seriously Adobe, play at your full potential- this is a grat product, web and video on sites is now std, why are you waiting. I miss the general startup energy so many tech companies embody when they are hunger to bring relevant solutions to users, with urgency. I guess when they get big, they lose this spark.

    This feature will make XD one well rounded tool for any sort of creative expression let it be app prototyping or even building kickass presentations!

    This feature would be super useful. In my current situation I'd like to load a video from Youtube. Even a gif might do at this point!

    It's a shame Adobe XD still doesn't have a video feature when they have Premiere and After Effects. Almost all of the apps and website now feature video or gifs - how do they expect designers to keep using this??
