Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)
Support for simple animation.
Example: Show/hide a slide or push menu
This would enhance a demo and engage prospects that are familar with common application patterns.
Reopening the feature request, based on feedback.

This is not good enough. What is stopping you from communicating with your paying customers?

Hey whats going on with this??? I want to give you my money, just add these feature, give us a ETA, anything????

Nudge...
Having an ETA or show of commitment to tackling this in future would make going with XD an easy 'yes'.

What is the status of this item ? Have to choose an alternative in some weeks otherwise....

If this feature isn't implemented soon my company will have to go back to using Moqups :'-(

This being in the backlog is simply not good enough anymore with plenty of alternatives out there. Sure you can use Protopie but wait.. only Mac users. Not good enough.

Hey folks - what is the status of this feature? Our entire team is waiting for this.

Why can’t you just integrate Adobe Animate capabilities inside of XD for this feature? Or at least be able to switch back and forth between apps by importing the assets from one to the other. You’ve even got a coding language (as3) already built to extend this even further for advanced prototyping.

Can we just get an ETA for this so I can plan properly?? In the meantime, I will be using Sketch and Flinto for microinteractions.

Please start this feature asap! I just tried out InVision Studio and the time it saved me to test out an interaction was ridiculous. I still prefer Adobe because of stability, but I caught myself thinking "Huh maybe I should switch to Studio when it is released".
Take a look at how they handle shared element transitions. There are so many areas for improvement with their timeline but the fact that by default it does most of what you want it to do just by naming your layers correctly is amazing. Please implement some sort of animation timeline and make it way better than Studio!

Or a integration with ProtoPie (third-party-integration on windows)

I am beginning my first XD project today, and the very first object I placed in my very first mobile wire frame was a nav bar and.....I realized that I have no way to demonstrate for my client how the hamburger menu will animate. If interactivity in prototyping is XD's strong point, how can this functionality STILL be missing from the software? While we are waiting for this feature to be added, how are others addressing this need?

NEEEED THIS!!!! Cmon guys it's 2018 now. Coming up on two years since this feature was requested. I and many others have been waiting patiently for animations to be added but still stuck with the most basic transitions and very limited triggers for them (have to click to trigger EVERY transition).
I end up having to make 5-10 artboards as an attempt to try and mimic a simple loading animation and then have to click the screen for every step of the animation :/ This is very time consuming and makes my projects even more cluttered than they need to be.
The ability to animate individual items and symbols (ideally with some kind of timeline implementation) and have these same extensive animation features available for transitioning between screens would be MUCH appreciated.
Adobe Xd is great and so easy and quick to use! But the lack of proper animations is really making me consider alternate software packages/workflows such as Sketch and Invision Studio

Please Adobe, hurry up with getting the animation/interaction features. These are not just nice to have, they are fundamentally necessary for prototyping. Principle has had these features forever, and your new competitor Invision Studio will have these features as well. These apps are outpacing you quickly and XD will get left behind, which would be unfortunate because XD is a great product otherwise.

It's so insanely easy to build good looking concepts and propotypes in Adobe XD, just the lack of animations is a disaster. Would love to see this happening asap!
