Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)
Support for simple animation.
Example: Show/hide a slide or push menu
This would enhance a demo and engage prospects that are familar with common application patterns.
Reopening the feature request, based on feedback.

Yes! XD is literally burrying Photoshop for webdesign tasks and interfaces. Adding the power to animate our designs would be sooooo great... One tool for webdesign... Photoshop is so slow compared to Affinity Designer, Sketch and XD! I don't wanna suffer anymore with any laggy tool....

I think adobe should change the name of Adobe XD: Feature Requests, Top category to Shame list. It's funny & shameful for a corp. like Adobe to have the most requested, most useful requested feature in the backlog for 2 years. & for sure they will implement like overlays. Overlay is a incomplete feature that wasn't ready for release. It has problems with the current app features like transparency & have lots of limitations.
I think the day of releasing of inVision on Windows will be the migration day for lots of these 3873 people on this feature request.
Hope u will get things right. -

Just look at this plz: https://www.invisionapp.com/studio
Just copy it or do it better.
This could be a key selling point for your product that you are missing it.
& by compliment it with other features like masking & etc. -

Its been so long since this feature has been in the backlog. The overlay feature is really great and I appreciate the time that went into making it so. But micro interactions are an integral part of UX design and I hate to go out of the Adobe ecosystem just to get micro interactions into my designs. Alternatives like Protopie don't work for me since I'm primarily a Windows user and switching over to mac and and another software just for implementing micro interactions in my designs is a pain in the butt. Please give us the opportunity to define our own custom micro interactions in the Adobe ecosystem. Kudos to a job well done until now!

InVision features look so good... My wish is that XD blows them away real soon.

Hey guys I don't even know if the admins are active on this thread. They recently released an overlay feature in the june update which is pretty neat and I think will do until they fully complete this feature. You can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cpz2OIHYvw

SAVE ME FROM USING ANOTHER PRODUCT / SAVE ME TIME IN GENERAL PLEASE: When user testing, I end up having to use a different product like InVision or actually coding up a mock-up myself just to show a hover transition on a button, icon or displaying a tool-tip.
Can't wait to see more updates. Really like the overlay feature in this most recent release. Keep up the great work. Hope to see hover transitions in the next release!

Adobe XD was a great upgrade on Ai for specifically creating and prototyping mobile interfaces. However, from the very beginning of your product you missed some golden opportunities like animating elements, now you're struggling with how to implement it. That is why your product will ultimately fail as other tools are more flexible and feature-full. Bon voyage Adobe XD

How is this feature even in the backlog? It should have been out with the program since it is essential to prototyping. Changing the aspect of a button shouldn't take multiple artboards.

definitely a game changing feature for xD as a front end prototyping tool
