Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)
Support for simple animation.
Example: Show/hide a slide or push menu
This would enhance a demo and engage prospects that are familar with common application patterns.

It's crazy that this isn't a feature already! I just started using XD in favour of Invision, but I can't even animate a drop-down menu from a specified location. Please please please add this ASAP!

Such a great idea! I heard a rumor that they are allowing 3rd party plug-ins, soon. Maybe this feature could be added in some way down the line through them?

Wow, I am so happy to see this request. I was talking about how great it would be to be able to animate different elements. So to simulate a working website. This would be similar to when the preview button is pressed if you have text or photo that would slide into frame it can be demonstrated and the same when you wire up a button to go to another page and other elements have a delayed animation. Or better yet when the scroll effect is created it can simulate when a certain view height is reached and an element is in frame that element can animate.

+1 on this. Huge limitation of the tool.

Will this be implemented?? i need this. This would really help in designing interactive prototype. at least scrolling to elements in the same page so i can demonstrate sticky top/bottom

Two options for Adobe to take to complete XD. UX design and prototype testing need animation features or InVision and Sketch are going to continue to Eat your Lunch.
1. Tight integration with Adobe Animate CC for Microinteractions and transitions
2. Buy 'Principle' app and Merge it with XD. -

Animated navigation bars as we scroll down and individual animation option for each element in Xd.Thanks

Additional animations and transitions between screens are highly appreciated. Using AE is too heavy handed for micro interactions and animation. XD would be the perfect tool for that.

It should be done

The infrastructure of prototype mode has been engineered in a way which allows itself almost impossible to integrate any animate/pulsing or even hover effects unless Adobe have the time and capacity to to re engineer prototype mode.
Users of Adobe XD need to understand that XD is primarily an App and not Web design tool built with similar traits to Illustrator.
Fear not - there are and will be more 3rd party integrations that'll allow animations to replicate real-world use for testing sessions.

I like it how adobe stays silent on this feature for 2 years. No comment on it at all. They just wait to loose the game to others after that bake it partially with lots of incompatibilities with backward features & excessive limits.

Need a microinteractions feature or animation feature so that u can add interaction to single layers.
Lack of this functionality make me resort to other tools for prototyping which is a shame. Whenever i try to use XD im left with mixed feelings as i feel that XD is very efficiently set up to craft what you need quickly, but it lacks the features that would make it the tool of choice for most power users.
An awesome way to get this feature would be if u added multi state objects where we can design every state as its own artboard with animations between them.

Adobe folks.. IT would be extremely helpful to us if you were a bit more transparent. Everyone is guessing when this feature will happen and the silence is deafening. The problem it that many teams are trying to lock down a process and once entrenched in another tool, it can be difficult to switch (back to XD). #XDefeated
