Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)
Support for simple animation.
Example: Show/hide a slide or push menu
This would enhance a demo and engage prospects that are familar with common application patterns.
Reopening the feature request, based on feedback.

Stuff like this absolutely has to be in it. The ability to type into input fields, select radio button options, checkboxes, dropdowns, etc. That's real interaction. Not just clicking images.

+1 For microinteraction

Would be great if eventually we can use XD for interaction design using a timeline similar to http://principleformac.com/
The ability to position elements on both artboards and add a timeline for their change in position, opacity, etc.

I'd like to see the ability to create interactions for a drop down menu. Maybe like it unfolding like a dropdown ladder? and reclining when you do not hover over it. Also would like to see more options with cursor hovers over buttons/links/etc.

Principle's approach in which the same object on two artboards having different height/width/opacity/etc.. and automatically transitioning between those two states when creating a link between those two artboards makes state based transitions and interactions extremely quick to prototype and test. I'm hoping you offer similar functionality, as other tools often require a bit too much effort or time to prototype rapidly.

Hi, I propose that XD manage own language to create unique animations and transitions, what do you think? http://bit.ly/1OlAoub

So close yet so far away. Nearly there, try looking at this app and competing with them: http://tumult.com/hype/

To be able to target specific elements within an artboard and show the transitions without the need for the page to reload a brand new artboard.

Or at least allow animated gif's to play.

Integration with Animate CC enhances the experience!

This is going to be key if XD wants to truly compete with Sketch and the Craft Suite from Invision which already allows these animations. Please bring this to XD!!!!

I am thinking about Select/Drag/Drop modelling, where the pointer adopts an icon whilst dragging. Switching to a new state could occur on pressing/releasing the pointer. In the 'pressed' state, the pointer could animate with movement... ...or some such.

This is especially important for transitions! (see Sketch)

Also It will be interesting having the possibility to hide the cursor of the mouse for the video export. And just see the click on the element for no touchable device

It will be very useful having scrolls on elements and only on one part of the screen to make the prototype more realistic.

This has probably been said over and over, but interactions, micro-interactions and a seamless experience are missing from XD. You've got basic transitions down (and layout) but there needs more, and unfortunately there isn't a product out there yet that does great interactive prototyping. No doubt Adobe's already researched this, but take a note from these 4 programs:
1. Axure - for data passing, complex interactions. (sadly, nothing responsive)
2. Flinto - for micro-interactions and animations
3. Principle for Mac - the same as flinto, except it's generally more presentation oriented.
4. Proto.io - currently taking your lunch. Pairs with PS / Sketch, more animations / transitions, responsive, has templates, and is very close to being the best currently. If they ever fix their UI it'll be amazing.I look forward to seeing what you folks do as it versions. No doubt it'll only get better.

Not sure if it is mentioned, but take a look at Principle for Mac for some ideas how this could possibly work within XD.

I also agree that microinteractions are a critical feature to this tool!
I have a REALLY great functional way that this can be accomplished: ***allow users to nest prototypes***. This keeps the animation/prototyping simple, and I now have the ability to do a huge amount more than I could before, but now I can define what is essentially a complete prototype within the area of a larger prototype.
I'd be happy to explain this concept further: it is a very simple/elegant way to make this feature happen!

Here is an example of what I am trying to show my client, and the only way to accomplish it is by cheating (see link below) by adding a button called "Automatic Animation Unfolds" to show the automatic animation.
If you add features like this you might have a chance to win over UX designer that love Sketch/InVision.

I can't even do a slide open menu, or click something and have it animate to a different state. For this to be useful, I need more than clicking from one screen to the next, as this stands, this is no more useful than many free online tools like InVision. If you add these micro animations and or state change animations, this would be seriously kick ass product, but until then, I will likely just uninstall it.
