Scrollable Area (not scrolling whole artboard)
Define a scrollable area within an artboard
This provides real-world app use cases, such as a table, slideshow, or iOS dropdown lists.
Hi everyone,
I’m excited to announce that with XD 30 we’ve added support for Scroll Groups. Try it out and please let us know your feedback.

It's great that the last update included scrollable screens, but at the moment it is only really usable for web designs. (and even then without fixed headers).
What would be better than a 'scrollable screen' is a scrollable container - i.e. create a long or wide object and set a mask over it that is scrollable. You could then choose whether that content scrolls horizontally, or vertically so that the designer can then choose whether it is a normal scrolling section, or a slideshow.

There is a need for any element can be locked to a specific location on screen.

I don't understand how the new feature "Scrollable artboards" works. For me, it seems only to work if I use the default artboards... Are there any tutorials?

在制作原型的过程中,画布高度自定义过后,画面太长会导致画面整体缩小,无法形成上下拖动预览,希望在下个版本可以加入这个小功能,参考网址,https://modao.cc/
In the process of prototyping, the canvas after a defined height from the screen too long will result in reduced overall picture and can not form drag up and down preview, hope the next version can be added to this little feature, refer to the URL, https: //modao.cc/ -

This is actually a really crucial part. As mobile UX dev you may can do something with XD at the moment but from a web dev. view, XD is far, far away to be used as a productional tool. I really would like to work with it but for now, I'm not using it anymore. It just makes no sense to me.

Echoing the below, I'm afraid. Using XD on a new project and found I can't scroll across to earlier artboards ...

I agree this is a huge need. For mobile it's a must to show user interactions. On the desktop I also think it's important to show clients how things flow down the page

Scrollable is a must for SaaS design with a lot of data to enter for one section on a web page, it needs to scroll down to capture all the required fields
Secondly new web designs are mostly now on one large scrollable length screen -

Started an Xd prototype as well, but quickly found out about no scrolling or swiping, so Xd is of no use until that is introduced. Other features so far were very easy to use and quite nice, actually. Look forward to scrolling and swiping.

Just update my xd but still If I increase the artboard size, it doesn't make it scrollable when shared. It just makes the image taller, and zoomed way out. Looking forward for this feature to be fixed
