Drag guides from anywhere
It would be great to be able to drag guides from anywhere, not just the top and left of an art board. Sometimes I am editing a master component on the pasteboard and I cannot grab any guides. Other times I am zoomed in or at the bottom of a long page and I have to zoom out go and grab a guide and then find my place again. I would like to be able to get guides no matter where I am, I am thinking of allowing them to be pulled out globally from the top of the interface where the home/design/prototype buttons are and from the left where the layers/tools are.

Comments should allow mentioning users from your team and guests
At the moment, the mentioning functionality becomes populated with users only after they have posted a comment (refer to screenshots), even when the link is viewed by users within the same team (account type - wise).
However, if we delete an user's comments, mentioning doesn't reflect that (still shows that user in the list), so we are currently doing that to simulate the feature.
It would be very helpful if there was this flexibility in working collaboratively with XD, as my team is trying to evangelise using this product to management over other competitors.
Moreover, mentioning is only available for Adobe User Accounts, and not guests. This is forcing non-design co-workers to have an account, which in turn makes it less likely for our team to adopt XD.
We are always on the lookout for new features implemented and we are happy this forum is took into consideration by the Adobe team <3

Animate blur effects
When using background blur or object blur, I want to be able to animate blur radius using Auto-Animate. Currently it will animate the position, size, & opacity of an object but it doesn't animate its blur.

Cascaded Character Styles
It would be awesome if character styles were implemented in a similar way to how CSS behaves. For example, you could set a character style and then create a new character style that is based on the previous style which has some overridden style changes (like color, for example), BUT it the second character style would still maintain a link to the first.
This could be similar to how the cascade works in CSS or how nested styles works currently in InDesign

Interactive Slider
I'd like to be able to prototype a functional slider. I can currently achieve this effect my duplicating the entire artboard and switching out the slide content, but the load time when clicking through the slider is incredibly slow, and can be off-putting to clients. Also, utilizing this method means that if the design is altered even minutely, I have to delete all the duplicated artboards, then duplicate the main artboard again, replace the slide contents, and prototype it all again as well. It can be incredibly time consuming. I've attached a screenshot of a recent one-page website that had three embedded sliders (one with five slides, and two with three slides) as a visual.
I'd like to be able to stack the images on one artboard, then prototype it to decrease a specified image's opacity to 0% on click, or something along those lines.

Adjust the preview window to the size of the artboard viewed
A simple example. We create 4 different artboards. (1200px, 992px, 768px, 576px)
2. Connect in prototype mode from left to right.
3. We check in preview mode. Now when we click anywhere, our artboards will change from the largest to the smallest.
It can be seen that after each change, the Preview window keeps the beginner value. In this case 1200px.
I would like it to automatically adjust the size of the preview window to the width of the artboard.
This will be a very good solution for a better view of responsiveness.
You can do it in two ways.
Download the value of the current system's resolution and consider it as a "fullscreen window size". And then the function will not automatically fine-tune the window.
Otherwise, if the window does not have the "fullscreen" value, the preview function will automatically scale the artboard window.
Or expand the current solution with automatic scaling of the preview window. Before the earlier setting, what type we want to display automatic scaling or not.
Redgards.

Batch export - mark items not to export
I design layout with sample text. I export the background for use in actual layouts. Now I have to hide what I don't want to export.
By marking them I don't have to hide them and editing layout will also be a lot easier. All hidden items in a group cannot be selected and moved together with items not in the group.30 votes -
Artboard count
It would be really nice to know the count of artboards in your file

Swap the position of 2 selected elements or artboards
Have a simple utility keyboard shortcut or icon in the alignment panel for swapping places of two selected elements. Simply interchange X and Y between the 2 selected objects. It'd be useful when selecting 2 art boards as well.

Keyboard shortcut for turning border and fill on and off
I love that the Xd team values the designer's flow, so that the designer can work as efficiently as possible, without the tool getting in the way.
Setting colors is a perfect case study for this. There's nothing more flow-breaking than having to go fetch something in the toolbar, especially with a common operation like setting colors.
Needless to say it would be "un-Xd" not to have intuitive, flow-friendly keyboard shortcuts for these operations... so, here are some ideas:
If using straight keyboard keys:
"i" to activate the Fill eyedropper
"b" to activate the Border eyedropperCtrl+i to remove Fill
Ctrl+b to remove BorderOr I find more ergonomic the following (they're closer together, on the same side of the keyboard):
Ctrl+1 to activate the Fill eyedropper
Ctrl+2 to activate the Border eyedropperShift+Ctrl+1 to remove Fill
Shift+Ctrl+2 to remove BorderOf course, the ultimate solution would be for Xd to let us define our own keyboard shortcuts, not just for already assigned shortcuts but also unassigned ones, but I imagine that implementing a shortcut management capability in Xd is probably no small feat - so I'll settle for intuitive and ergonomic shortcuts for now :)

Please note that if you want to view your interactive prototype as a native mobile app, you can now use the XD app from the Google Play store to live preview. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.sparklerandroid

Full app for Android or Chrome OS
I know that iPad OS is probably a bigger focus for developing thus, but it would be amazing to see Adobe develop apps like Adobe XD for not only iPad, but also Android or Chrome OS. I recently switched away from an iPad Pro to a Chrome tablet, and I definitely would love to keep using Adobe's software if I can! But right now there's sadly not a lot available for Chrome OS or Android as compared to iPad.

Center zoom on selected object
I realize XD has a "Zoom to Selection" command (Cmd-3 on Mac), but it would be better if the default behavior for zoom (Cmd-plus) would center the zoom view on a selected object, just like InDesign and Illustrator do.

Choose export settings & export multiple elements to one file
In the process of exporting individual elements - there's no interface that lets you choose file type or any other settings. Also exporting overlapping design elements exports as tow image files. Would be nice to have an option to control that option.

Allow fractional pixels / turn off pixel snapping
The current feature of switching on/off snapping by holding "Cmd" in Mac or "Ctrl" in Windows doesn't work properly. Additionally, we couldn't align shapes or objects with one another as there isn't feature to turn on/off the snap to pixel grid for the entire document.
28 votesPlease note that the Cmd/Ctrl keyboard shortcut you’ve mentioned below is actually used for turning off snapping to other objects and to the layout or square grid. I’ll merge this with another request.

Export style sheet for developers
Dev gets confused about what styles are what. I thought the XD Share for Dev link would have the styles in the sidebar, but there are none. I even have a master document with all of my assets: fonts, colors, and elements. Now I have to go back in and manually annotate what fonts are connected to what styles.. It would be a small addition, but would be super great in striving to better communicate with my dev team. Thank you for your consideration!
