Would be great if we could add on click actions to buttons on prototype mode.
Like for example changing colour on click or even expand boxes to show on click behaviours. At the moment we can only get this feeling by creating additional boards. Is this something you guys might consider for future updates?2 votes
I noticed that I couldn't publish a Design Spec to share with our dev team of just a single artboard. I had to first create another artboard and link them together somehow and then I could publish. I would rather have the option to publish specs that are either A) already prototyped and linked together, or B) individual artboards I can pick and choose (select) which to publish specs to. Frequently our dev team will ask for just one screen on smaller projects, or just want specs on specific screens vs an entire flow we might have prototyped together. Would be nice also if the SPEC view was a top left tab in XD like Design, and Prototype. So I could go into SPEC mode and extract measurements myself if I'm a designer/coder in one. Or choose the screens there to publish specs on, etc. Making it more functional and not so restricted.

Ability to share all the items in the asset panel from one document into another.3 votes
I work on a team of designers. We're working on establishing a company-wide style guide. We'd like to be able to have a shared Xd file that we all contribute to separately. Currently we can't all publish to the same link. So one person will have to take ownership of the prototype. It would be beneficial for us to be able to publish our changes into that master file.2 votes
Active Character Styles
It would be awesome if you could see which character style was being used when text is selected.2 votes
I am looking to use Adobe Xd as a rapid prototyping tool for our business. sliders such as those used for color, and volume controls would be of an immense help. The color picker sliders wouldn't be as advanced as those that were in Adobe Color CC. These are just simple sliders that start at 0 then go to 255 for RGB values. We also have brightness/intensity sliders and white temp sliders as our lighting is RGBA. I don't need them fully functional, just having the ability to work the control knob left to right would be grand!2 votes
When posting comments on the shared design on the web, I would love to be able to use emoji and images in the comments similar to Slack or Dropbox.2 votes
Needs a "filename" field on the export screen1 vote
We currently use the name of the layer as the export name. Are you looking for additional functionality?
Exporting assets (like a row of buttons) as JPG turns the transparent space to white - it should change it to the artboards background colour (or even better, give the user the option to use the background colour or not)2 votes
If you create an artboard and make responsive versions it would be a useful feature when you could connect the different screen sizes of that artboard (desktop, tablet landscape, tablet portrait, mobile) and than show buttons in the preview window to switch between this screen sizes.2 votes
This is really annoying.
Every time I resize a bunch of objects I have to write in the size, because just dragging for resize doesn't work properly.
Ex: I have two 5x5 squares and I want to resize them both to 6x5 px by dragging from one side. Because the size isn't restricted to 1px increments, as it is when i resize a single object, the size will always be something like 6.39px or 6.12px and that is annoying.
I think resizing multiple objects should be the same as resizing 1 object.1 vote
The new grid feature is great for basic layout stuff! Would be awesome to be able to customize grids with custom width for specific columns.
For example, it would be cool to be able to create say a 2-column layout with one 2/3rds column, one 1/3 column, and a defined gutter.
Also the ability to define whether or not there is a gutter on the outside of the grid system as a whole or not...an example of this is a situation where you had, say, a content wrapper with 30px padding inside the left/right edges.
As an UI designer, i'd like a better management of the text. There are not enough options for the text editing : it should be as complex as photoshop (minimum) or indesign ! (the best)
The ligatures are automatic with fonts that have ones and there's no way of disable them.2 votes
Now Specs support Colors and Character Styles of Assets. Please allow developers to export layer by themselves too~2 votes
There is no need to explain it more :)2 votes
Just show color HEX code next to each color preview (background/border/shadow) instead of making us clic this color picker to read it.2 votes
Collaborative work: Updating 'share link' of an .xd file not possible on another machine
System: macOS Sierra 10.12.6
XD-Version: 0.8.22.17 Beta
We are working with different people on the same .xd file. Updating the prototype link is only possible on the machine with wich the .xd file was created. The other people can only create new links.
1. Create an .xd file
2. Publish prototype
2. Save the .xd file
3. Open the same .xd file on another machine
4. Updating the published prototype link not possible (only creation of new link)11 votes
Sorry for the confusion. This behavior in XD is intentional. Only the user who created a prototype link is able to update that link. The thinking is that the owner for the link may not want others making changes.
At the moment, the only way for multiple people to update a prototype at the same URL is to be logged in with the same Creative Cloud account. We are however discussing adding the ability to specify more than one owner for a prototype – and we could then allow all owners to update the prototype link. It sounds like this is what you were expecting and the behavior you would like to see, is that correct?
Would be great to be able to name symbols that were created in addition to seeing the thumbnail of it.
Also would be great to be able to edit Symbols directly on a separate window. Once edits are applied, it automatically updates all the instance where the symbols are placed.3 votes
In Word or Visual Studio you have the ability to search and replace certain signs or words. Well i'm in a project right now having a lot of different canvases all with some rectangles colored in the same way. If i want to change the color of all of them equally i wish i had a function providing me with that ability.... maybe there is a way to this date.. but i don't know it.1 voteAdminElaine (Adobe) (Admin, Adobe) responded
Have you tried adding the color to the asset panel and then changing the color globally? https://twitter.com/elainecchao/status/900783517080068096
- Don't see your idea?
