It's hard to move objects that are below other objects
When an object or group is selected, you should be able to hold a key (such as Option) so that you can drag it around without XD selecting a layer that is above it. Sketch allows you to hold Option so that the selected item stays selected.
Yes you can use the arrow keys to nudge something but that can take forever if you want to move your object way down the page. This is really slowing down my workflow. In the link below, you'll see this in action.
Thanks for your feedback. You can actually use Cmd+Click (Mac) or Ctrl+Click (Win) to cycle through the layers underneath, and drag once you’ve had the correct object selected. Hope that helps!

I've got exactly the same problem Sarah shows in her video at https://www.loom.com/share/289f4d39ce744c4a91eb9837da7da9fb
That was a year and a half ago. Any solution? -

Another suggestion. To cycle through layers add select layers in right click dropdown. Once hovered over select layers shows list of layers. Just like in photoshop when you right and select needed layer. Simple. :)

You can clearly see that in @sarah 's video below. If that can make it clear.

Is there any update on this? Actually in photoshop we use control key to hold so no other layers are selected. This allows for click and drag of even smaller px objects with mouse click hold. Here in XD its not possible to hold coz once you try to drag above layer gets selected and worse we can select locked layer too. My suggestion add ctrl key to hold a layer with mouse so no other layer is selected. So I can move a layer with ctrl hold by clicking the far outer region of layer just like in photoshop. Can we get this simple feature soon This is quite a simple feature.

Hey Elaine - I created a new ticket for this one since I wasn't sure how to mark this as having completed the "action-required" flag. Thanks!
