We’ve returned this in the January version of XD. You may need to republish with layout grids turned on in order to get this option to show up again.

Apologies for the inconvenience. The layout grid functionality broke in XD 24. We are in the process of fixing it. Expect it to be fixed in the coming releases

It would be really helpful for developers if they can also see the layout grid feature on the XD prototype spec link.
