It should save as different old version in order to allow other computer to open the file.

ADOBE TEAM PLEASE FIX THIS
Its Extremely frustrating that users cant open an XD file across two different XD versions.
Its chaos especially for professionals and causing great disruptions when working.
Absolutely ridiculous.

Ridiculous that this doesn't exist.
I'm stuck. My personal Mac on v56. My work Windows machine stuck on V33.
I'm using nothing groundbreaking in my designs - and yet I have to now re-create it all again on my windows machine.

It's a wonder why anyone is using XD at all. So limited. Basic features not implemented. It's 2023. Still can't swap a component. Can't round a corner on a path.

so weird and unacceptable , less cloud-based and more usability... I have clients who cannot open final prototypes, all the interactions and work kind of wasted.. had to create a pdf.. hopefully adobe will fix xd..

This is unacceptable.
Hopefully the Adobe + Figma merge will fix all these ridiculous issues. I have an older mac (2017), not that old in my opinion that cannot be updated to any newer OS version so I am stuck with old Xd. Find a better solution for people who cannot afford to buy the latest mac or latest XD. At this time I have to scratch these files and start from scratch. Thank you for the waste of time Xd.

WHY is this feature still unavailable? Indesign has IDML file why can't XD? My colleague works on a Windows computer and has the lastest XD version. I can't because my iMac is old and all Adobe Products are aligned to the Mac OS, so I will have to spend ££££ on a new mac just so I can open up XD files my colleague has created... Madness!!

Please fix it! It is not only annoying but also the opposite of being sustainable when people are forced to buy new devices to get the latest updates instead of using their old ones.
