Change Save As behavior to remove Copy of
Remove "Copy of" text from filename when I "Save As" — Change to number increment
Every time I want to save a new iteration of my file, I hit Command+Shift+S to "Save As".
XD automatically adds "copy of" to the beginning of the filename and I have to delete it every. Single. Time.
Does anybody actually names their files this way? You'd end up with "copy of copy of copy of copy of filename" instead of a simple numbered "filename 5".
Would be cool to see XD smartly increase the number by 1 every time like it does with the artboards. Or at the very least make it behave like other apps do, prompting a "filename already exists. Do you want to replace it?" dialogue of i forget to change the filename .
Saving As no longer prepends “Copy of” to the title.

With the new update it became more annoying to save files. To achieve the same purpose have increased clicks to do (just to push the save on Adobe cloud that frankly I do not care at all). Moreover, the "save as" has become a "save a copy" even if the name in menu is just "save as". This means that the word "copy" is inserted automatically in the file title. I have never seen a person of common sense use the suffix "copy" on the naming of the files but rather a sequential number. So I'm forced every time to select the title to delete this useless part. is the first update since I use this software that makes the previous version worse. :(
