Version Control - store history/timeline of revisions
It would be nice if there was a way to have multiple versions of a design living in one document. Right now we'll have a v1 wireframe and will be reviewing features for v2. I typically lock that version and then create a new file called v2 and start making changes. Would be nice if they could be linked somehow verses multiple file versions.
In this week’s release, we introduced document history for cloud documents, which enables you to review previous saved versions of your document within a window, and label and preserve these versions in perpetuity. If you have suggestions for improvements on this experience, please do file them as separate tickets!

Hello, it would be ideal to be able to highlight changes between versions

Hello, it would be ideal to be able to keep same prototype link, so to keep track of comments, replies and resolves over revisions. Thanks

Please start support this or at lease some kind of addition to an existing visual git UI tool like Source Tree. I use it right now but I can't visually compare XD files so it makes it half usefull

I basically love all features in XD. But the only way I can jsutify a big change from Sketch to XD (even though I already like it better) is if XD had built-in version control.
I know XD can be used with Abstract now but still. I need to justify changing "stack". Soooo, Adobe, let me know.

Having a timeline of edits that updates every time it autosaves would be a lifesaver. I think it would be nice if it kept all your changes for a week.

Coming back on that... if we combined this with that post https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/34612402-pdf-design-specs and adobe sign (which is FDA 21 CFR part 11 complain, it will be a suitable alternative!!

Agreed with Meejin, it is getting problematic this lack of version control!

It's already the end of the year.
Please tell us the feature release date.
Please stop saying "That feature is coming soon." That's enough.
Rather, You'd better to say it's impossible until this year.I know from past update that your team is working very hard.
I know well because I'm making products too. :-(But sadly I think if the version control and real-time collaboration that you promised us at the end of 2018 will not be updated this year, many users will be moving to Figma. They've been waiting for two and a half years.
Including me...It's sad too.
Cause I like XD.In those 2 years, I cannot be denied the 'Figma' has become a powerful tool, though.
Figma team is working very hard to update the new features like Adobe XD Team.Figma already has Hover and 'perfect cloud services' such as 'version control', 'real time collaboration' and 'string ID integration', 'shared real-time code to developers without tool download'.
It's like a Google spreadsheet as i know.
You should not be delay a answer, anymore.
My company began to recommend the use of Figma.
But I want to use XD.
Please update as soon as possible Or provide us a clear answer for the feature release date. -

This request is over 2 years old, and the Adobe Max video soon celebrates 3 years. I assume this is a tricky feature, but any update on progress? Working in shared documents is becoming very risky when you don't have version control.

Guys just buy Abstract!

Can you provide an update on progress? Any communication would be extremely helpful. In order for my team to adopt XD we will need this in place.
It looks like abstract may have a solution coming, but it’d be nice if it was native.

Now that the only way to share components is through the cloud this is a must have feature. Simplify it if the visual aspect is too hard to deliver. I'd be ok with a simple pull down with previous versions and dates.
