Tooltips / Annotations that appear WHILE using interactive prototype
Add the ability to embed tooltips and/or annotations on design so that when a user is interacting with your prototype and hits a "hotspot" a tooltip or annotation appears.
Got it. I’ll keep this as a separate request, then.

This would be pretty useful when working with the stakeholders and devteam remotley. Before I was able to "give them" a tour, but now it's more difficult.
I agree with that david said. "The user could enter anything they wanted here. Info on why link might be selected, what could happen in the background, etc... This little tweak would essentially give me 90% of the value Overflow provides." This could be cool because we could integrate explanations from our User Stories and Epics so developers have a clear vision of what we need them to code.

Elaine, when will you be able to provide the ability to show tool tips or annotations while using interactive prototypes. This is critical as we are having to prepare a presentation as a guide for the prototype.

Add a description text field in the link detail pop-up. This would then display on the prototype page. The user could enter anything they wanted here. Info on why link might be selected, what could happen in the background, etc... This little tweak would essentially give me 90% of the value Overflow provides.

Add in XD a function to comment every single object (shown as popup), in order to create a sort of "function book" instead of creating boring excels. So the clients can understand better the functions of the product designed for them.
Also I suggest:
- To be able to enable or disable an option "always visible". If disabled, the comments will be shown just on click (or mouse hover).
- Choose to show all those comments inserted on a tab on the right, in a cleaner way, like a table, pinned to the relative object (kinda like the online comment function on wireframe available now).
I attached an image of how I imagine it.
Thanks and keep up the good work!
Cheers,

As the design team we need a better way to describe how a prototype works between elements, pages, etc. so there are fewer questions from product owners and fewer surprises from development team. Until XD team can catch up to that level of representation, I need to be able to mark up my prototype or design spec better. Commenting and pinning is good. But has its limitations.

It would be great if we can have an ability to add annotation or some kind of legend to interactive elements. Let say some type of balloon with example text like "Click here to see edit profile form".

It will be really helpful to have a hotspot with tooltip, so when user is interacting with prototype they can click on the "hotspot" which will reveal tooltip with related information about the hotspot (something similar to more info), which will help business users to under better about the app and its flow.

We had a request while user testing for tooltips. Although we will provide that specific on boarding and training information in the live application this will be helpful for testing.

Hi Elaine,
This is different. This of it as analogous to features within Adobe Captivate. It would provide ease of use and training functionality when presenting your prototypes. It would provide more or less annotations or tooltips when a user highlights or clicks on specific objects within the prototype.
