I’m happy to announce that starting today, with the latest update, Artboard Guides functionality is part of XD!

Creation is very simple, you can simply point to the top and left of any artboard, click and drag to create guides.

You can check how Guides work in a short video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnalFtR2KMA ) or check out Adobe XD’s help pages to see all the details of the feature (https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/artboards-grids.html#custom-artboard-guides).

XD 1.0 released and there is no option for rulers and guides, such a powerful tool but its a shame its unuseable due to such an important feature missing. Come on Illustrator and Photoshop has it why not XD

honestly i am so tired of every time i want to do something basic like have a fricking ruler, make a guide, and any number of other things all i ever end up with from a google search is the answer that its not in there. Basic functions for Yesus sake. Disgusting that this is called a final release when so many basic functions simply are not there.

How on Earth did even the beta of this ship without guides? This is Adobe, right? Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign - with simple and effective guide systems. C'mon guys. This is basic.

An absolute must. Responsive, on the fly grids are a top 3 reason to use an experience design program to begin with. Need more reasons to fully make the switch from Illustrator / Photoshop.
