You must have some reason why you made guides only to work per artboard. It would be convinient to make also guides that work same way than in illustrator- global guides where can quickly just drag them from rulers.

Please, consider that adobe users are used to certain elements of UX- in adobe products, which have been verified to be usable many times. Guides with rulers is one of those UX things.

I belive that XD will be very good at somepoint. Just remember to test it well ;)

why not add guides AND RULERS like in photoshop or illustrator? the capability of measure is so basic that im ashamed to even have to ask for it. are you trying to create a UX design tool with no clue of UX ?

Can you please add RULERS! It should be a default setting for such type of products. The lack of them adds bad experience to Experience Design product.

Rulers and guides are essential. This must have been intentional?

This feature is not complete. What about guides from the right and bottom?

Please make the pc version of xd like the rest of the adobe suite. With the top bar including , file, edit, windows, view and the lot. Those things are what we are use to. Currently it feels like XD is under developed and as if im using wordpress elementor but even more less. Also we dont have ease of access and control. Great software dont get me wrong, just a big collection of minor bad ui and ux decisions.

We dont just want something like a drag and drop feature. We have wordpress and wix and on the other side invision for that. We need to actually create stuff of intricacy and delight like other softwares. If you have simplified it, it just leaves space for you to give us more abilities like in illustrator, photoshop and indesign (etc)

These guides are useless
When I have a artboard of like 6000px high for a landing page, I have to zoom out to place the guide and I can't even see where I have place it. This is really difficult and painful for me.

Hi adobe, thanks for the guides. However when in need to drag one guide to the end of a long artboard the guide draggable area disappears because of the scroll!
Please make rulers (or guide draggable area) fixed to top and sides.

Where are the rulers again?
I don’t see why the user need to drag from the edge of the artboard the guide for couple of obvious reasons:
This is not good usability. because when the user is working on something every time he needs to move to the edge of the artboard and physically move the view of the artboard.
But hell why? Again there is the rulers convention you did on Photoshop / Indesign etc…
remember? Why break a good convention?
B. The user don’t know how to pull out a guide because you don’t show a top bar menu with
shortcuts and he needs to search in the internet how to do it. You concealed the
Affordance of the object from the novice users.
C. Question: let’s say this is you convention. So why the user can’t pull a guide from the
bottom?

Was there any user testing while this was being developed? Incredibly annoying and unproductive to have to zoom out and scroll to the top of a page if I have a longer page. Introduce rulers and pull guides from it, the wheel did not need reinventing here.

But what if I working in zoom (a lengthy artboard for eg)? Then I have to zoom out & scroll upwards and need to drag again?

we still miss some basic features such as type in values for guides, rotate guides and we need rulers. we all know and use these basic features in other layout tools... cmon guys you can do it

Is there a way to pull guides onto an art board without having to zoom out and pull from the top or the artboard? It's a little frustrating when you're working on a long page.

I would really like an easy way to not only create the guides, but be able to hide them when showing my work to my manager/clients. However taking into account my list of items in the artboard section is huge and I would hate to have to troll through it everytime.
