This needs to happen soon. Seriously it's just basic prototyping. I'm thinking maybe you were focusing more on developing for phones but forgetting desktops? I don't understand why this is still pending... Please hurry with this. It really takes away from the prototype when it's not available.

Having a "hover" or "mouse-over" effect is a really important feature for prototyping. I recently designed a mockup in XD and then wanted to use XD's prototyping tools, but when I found there was no hover effect, I had to switch to Marvel in order to create my interactive prototype. I really needed a hover effect for this particular product. Mouse-over is of course really common and important when designing for desktop screens.

Obviously agree with the group. Pointedly this isn't just a layer of fidelity missing. When sharing designs it causes misunderstanding and unneeded feedback when mouseover interactions aren't present.

Adobe, Come On! I really want to use this tool at work but Figma is winning the race. :(

Well, I just don't know what to say about this. As a software developer, I understand many reasons why feature requests aren't addressed immediately. However, the fact that this one has 5410 up-votes makes me sad about the other [essential] features that have fewer than 1000 up-votes.

From a sales perspective, adding flashy features (like auto-animate) that appear to make design creation faster are certainly a priority. Given that this software is still free, I'm not sure I can agree that these things are more important that providing actual abilities.

Given a choice between things I can already do made easier and things I need to do be still can't, I'm inclined to push towards the things I need to do but still can't.

One would think that XD has reached a maturity level that most (if not all) formatting that is available through CSS would be available in the interface. If it's so hard to create an interactive interface for simple styling effects such as border-bottom, then perhaps the feature request we should be making is the ability to type (paste) in actual CSS for any object.
