Commenting and making annotations in design OR on shared prototype online
it's pretty self-explanatory.. you can give feedback by commenting and making annotations on the prototype, if someone posts something you get an email with a summarium of all the feedback or you get notified via creative cloud.. there could be settings where you want to be notified and if instantly or like 1 hour later!
this is valuable to me because it makes the communication easier, which otherwise would lead to tons of emails going back and forth.
With our November release, you can now add comments to shared prototypes! Comments are contextual to the artboard. Please check it out and let us know what you think. Feature improvements should be suggested as new ideas in UserVoice.
Thanks!

Note: for adding comments while viewing a shared prototype (instead of within the XD desktop app), see https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12928284-commenting-and-annotations-on-shared-prototype

Note: for adding comments visible within the XD design tool, see https://adobexd.uservoice.com//forums/353007/suggestions/14866464-adding-comments-notes-on-design-stage

Just need some comments/notes tool similar to Acrobat's one. As I design, I have some additional ideas/comments and would like to anchor them to a given area. And then being able to hide or collapse them.
Now I tend to use a text box, which is not a perfect solution (clutters workspace). Would be great to have it under right click or something similar, even very basic note making solution would do the job.

Hi Elaine, thanks for looking into this. I was envisioning a note/feedback capability that serves both the designer when adding descriptions to a screen when in design or prototype mode , as well as the client when viewing the screens. It'd be something like Acrobat Pro or inVision's note feature.

I responded to the survey, however there should be an option as to whether the commenter would like to keep a particular comment private or public.

You know what? You see how you have "01 : Design Mode", "02 : Prototype Mode", I feel that communication is so important it can possibly go under another section maybe called "08 : Communication" or something along those lines. Just a thought.

The ability to collaborate with fellow UX, designers, developers and eventually clients is a huge + for an application such as this. This is one of the main reasons we use other products as well.
Cheers!

Ability to add notes (client comments) on each page or specific area of the screen. This feature-similar to InVision-has been helpful for both the client and myself (UX designer) to leave comments related to a given area. In the case of the clients, they would make notes and update the link on their end. And in my case, I would jot the notes down on the page as we're going through them.
Basically, the main point of 'preview' for me is to enable the client to reach a satisfactory state in the design process. And if this can be achieved independent of separate emails or pen and papers at meetings then preview idea has reached gold!

Firstly, I'd love to be able to add my text to each page. That way, I can tell the users what they're looking at, what to click on, etc. For example, for screens that scroll, I've taken to making the item near the bottom dissolve to a second screen that shows the screen scrolled down more. I'd like to be able to explain this to users so they don't think that's what the actual interaction will be.

In desperate need of annotation ability.
It's the only major drawback for me on XD, love the program otherwise but it's very hard to share with other parties who do not use the program and need notes/instruction.

Currently I'm writing 'pink' text notes on each art board I'm commenting on. It might be nice to have an ability to attach those notes to an art board. To be fair, this is least of my needs for the app right now bit none the less something I pretty much do every time I use the app.

Note bubbles that can pop-up and be hidden all at once using a keyboard command. I need these types of notes for writing out interactions and details that I would expand upon later in more robust prototype software like Principle for Mac.

This new tool looks pretty cool!
However, it's missing some features that keep me using Omnigraffle. The features that I'd definitely like to have is:
1) the ability to easily annotate wires
- Access to a prebuilt stencils library to modify illustrations would enable us to get up and running sooner
- maybe annotations mode could be another tab beside design and prototype as an earlier sketch mode?2) Use pre-built stencils for wireframing quickly
3) Ability to import the wires I created in Omnigraffle over to the artboards here so can transition over to this tool more easily.

For completeiung the Workflow from skeetch to development, there should be an option to add development-notes to Artboards and Elements. Some features or Elements must be described further in order to be understood by development. For Example: Form-Fields have many different options that have to be described, transitions between screens must be described, source of text elements should be described, functionality / meaning of icons must be described

- Toggle comments/annotations on the 'live' artboard.
- Turn the comments/annotations into a To Do/Task list or integrate into JIRA, etc. -

This is the only thing stopping me from using Adobe XD and Invision's new Sketch + Craft + Silverflow. We need feedback directly on every screen, as well as some sort of user texting.

I think it would be helpful when using the prototype preview to have a space for showing contextual information for the artboard being shown. This would allow the designer to add information that is relevant for the screen, but not have the information in the artboard itself. Some relevant information could be a description about the scenario the prototype is following or the possible decisions that the user might have to make on a screen.

Would love to see ways of gathering feedback. A lot of great reference could be taken from the inVision app here.
- gathering feedback
- managing feedback (ie states)
- communication (email notifications for stake holders) -

This would be awesome. With this, we could probably ditch the need to produce functional specs!

Yes, please add ability to add comments/feedback on prototypes that have been shared.
