Artboard Overlays (sidebar / menu / popup) in interactive prototypes
Hi there, currently the only interaction is a page switch with some easing functions, but when you click a button, it would be nice that you van select a artboard that you can use as a "overlay" over another artboard. So that way you can create lightboxes in your protytype.
We’re so excited to announce that overlays are now available in our June release! With this feature, you can set any artboard as the overlay target of another artboard and visually place it in the right place in the viewport. Please do let us know what improvements you’d like to see in this feature as individual tickets in UserVoice – we’re listening!

Do what InVision does not presently do! My overlay requirement: a single transparent overlay that can open then close...or open, help you navigate to a new screen, then close the same way it was opened.
For example, enable me to prototype a screen with a menu icon. I tap the menu icon to slide the menu into view from off-canvas. My menu overlay has transparency so I can see the screen behind it if I designed it that way. At this point I can tap to close the menu or tap to navigate to a new screen in the prototype, either way the menu slides back off-canvas the same way it was opened.
If you try this with InVision you will be disappointed when trying to navigate from the overlay then close it the way it was opened. This is because InVision’s hotspot functionality for overlays is limited to animating in and out of view over a single screen. Great for open then close scenarios but misses the mark when prototyping off-canvas menus with navigation. I can almost get InVision prototypes to do what I want using duplicate overlays that have unique hotspot functionality but it’s way too much work.

I would really like this feature also as a way to show a sliding hamburger menu. On an app with lots of screens, it would be unrealistic to duplicate each one with the menu showing. Also I don't think there'd be a way to show any animation or easing of the menu.

That the user can create elements like sidenavs and tooltips that when clicking open on the same screen and are saved as symbols to not have to create thousands of artboards

It maybe also good if the showing panel can push the surrounding panels to move up/down, like accordions.

I think many of the opinions are great, but a simple implementation is always best, especially when designing at the speed of thought. Here's my idea:
In Prototype Workspace, dragging a link from one object to another on the same artboard brings up a transitions panel to reveal/hide the target object.
Nice to have: The ability to save the entire object and its link behavior as a Symbol. So that when you change the behavior it changes project-wide.

Is the feature described here: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/12924909
Really the same as what's described in this request?

Is there a way to show submenu options? I am struggling to find a good way so I can show my client.

Drop down navigation
I really like the xD program but it seems a little too basic. I would love to create interactive wireframes more in this package but need more development for desktop navigation with drop down secondary navigation as a priority. I currently use Axure for wire framing but find it slow going.

It would be helpful if there were a way to lay something over on top of a design. Something like a drop-down menu pop up window (alerts) or even tool tips.

Creating and expanding drawing style menu without navigating to another page would be extremely handy. Animating slide-outs would also be great, in addition to other effects currently available is JS libraries. Perhaps an integration with an add-on library too?

It would awesome if there was an option to show a hidden element on screen load, and choose fade, slide up, etc.
