Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    That neither Video nor Animated GIFs can be imported in Adobe Xd is simply absurd and insane, you have a huge team of engineers and you cannot add such a simple capability? Very disapointed with Adobe, I guess unfortunately I will have to start looking at the competitors

    Seriously guys, why isn't video part of the Xd platform yet. Video has been everywhere for the past number of years and growing . Being able to show video is essential for the future of Xd.

    Another basic feature, requested by this time over 1,500 users over the course of the past two years, still notably absent. I can't tell you how frustrating and disappointing this is.

    I was under the mistaken notion that I could load videos and spent several hours researching and doing the tutorial. Im very disapointed that video is not an option. Please include soon. That is essential to make this a top product.

    With Adobe After Effects being a thing, it would be nice to export design elements to After Effects, animate, and export a Gif back to the prototype that is able to be triggered by an interaction. Animations are now a key part of interaction and integral to User Experience Design.

    It is great to be able to import videos to the work table in order to show the client, how the final prototype looks.

    Yes please... a video/animation functionality would be wonderful. Just about every site I design includes product video
