Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    I had to go back to html/css for a prototype because this isn't supported. I could usability test so much faster if this was a capability!

    We could recomend using xd as an open tool for students for some contents in universities if videos were supported.

    This one is very important one XD team! Your competition already supports it and I've been seeing more and more of high fidelity prototypes. I want to keep using XD but this one needs to be implemented! Adding this one would enable Adobe Users to utilize your other tools and enhance our prototypes. Please, please support APNG or at least animated gifs...

    It would temporarily solve many of XD's incababilities about animation and interaction design.. at least we could fake them with embedded videos

    Really need this feature as in todays design there is a lot of animation and videos (especially in the header) and our clients need to get the perfect experience when we show them the prototype. Please implement it asap
