Scrollable Area (not scrolling whole artboard)
Define a scrollable area within an artboard
This provides real-world app use cases, such as a table, slideshow, or iOS dropdown lists.
Hi everyone,
I’m excited to announce that with XD 30 we’ve added support for Scroll Groups. Try it out and please let us know your feedback.

Having the ability to fix a bg image to the artboard fold on a long scrolling page is CRITICAL in illustrating the way "background-size: cover" pages will look! Without it, there's entirely too much verbal explanation that has to accompany the prototype, so what's the point? Please add this ASAP!

How come this feature is started when the most requested feature is more important?

I'm not sure why this feature is marked as Started, while the top requested feature on the forum (Fixed elements in scrolling artboards) is marked as in the backlog? Understandably the top-rated request has more use cases, but i think that at the very least, having a fixed header/footer is essential. So, I'm just curious if that level of fixed element is coming in the near future. I agree with many who've posted here that this missing feature is one of the few things that prevents me from using XD exclusively. I love so much about it but this makes some prototyping difficult.

This feature should have been finished long time ago! Maybe it's time to switch to invision studio?

+1 It is a necessary feature for us as well.

@Shian excellent point and I'm waiting for Invion Studio as well. It will run on both OS for now I started learning SketchApp and I can't believe how fast I've pick it up

@Adam Olving WRONG it's the #1 most request feature if you add up the totals of all the separate feature requests about having scrolling areas. Adobe dropped the ball on it and trying to bury it but can't bury elephant in room. Looking forward to Invision Studio coming out next year.

How can this not be included yet? It is the 4th most requested feature and critical for designing good prototypes.

XD is just incomplete until you can create scrollable areas! Scrollable areas should be design 101!
Very frustrating.

I thought Adobe XD product team would surprise us with scrolling containers for the 1.0 version but I guess I overestimated them. Instead of developing interactive/prototyping features they focused on graphic design and illustration features, things that already exist in other apps.

Why do Adobe XD prefer to concentrate developing a gradient tool and a pen tool when I can already use illustrator and photoshop for this. They should be concentrating on developing prototyping functions. GIVE US SCROLLABLE AREAS PLEASE!

Content scroller please!, is basic for any user interface. Should not be difficult to include this function.

They just released v1 and still no content scroller. Sorry Adobe, let just call your XD V1 beta

We need the ability to scroll certain elements (in Lorenzo's case, the repeating grid). I would put this in the same category as transitioning only certain elements (for example slide transition slides the whole artboard). Essentially we need to be able to "lock" objects, such as if in CSS we were to give them a position: fixed property and value, or make objects scroll able (CSS div - overflow: auto;)

Be able to enable a sidebar inside the repeating grid

i would like to see an integration where the artist can create his/her own map and allowed the user to pan and explore and view the map, i think it would be a cool integration
