Export from XD to AE in HD
The main reason I decided to use XD was to be able to export easily to AE to animate and we should be able to choose between 1x, 2x or 3x resolution when exporting so we can create HD animation.

Different name for component states when exporting assets for dev handoff
If I have a component "checkbox", and a state of that component named "checkbox_active", when exporting the asset, both will be named checkbox.svg, then I have to rename it manually.
My idea is to name the svg accordingly with the state name or putting an underscore between names.
Ex: component-name_state-name

Export SVG graphics for web
Now code of exporting SVG files starts like this:

Select whether to export Android assets into a drawable or mipmap directory
I work with developers, and we found a little problem during the export of assets for android : The folder where are exported the assets are named "drawable-hdpi" … or now, I don't know exactly from when, the folder to make an app is called "mipmap-hdi" …
It depends on actually of some projects (sometimes you can still use drawable and sometimes not), but it will be a good idea to add a function to choose the name of folders :)

Separate Quality Settings for 1x and 2x JPEG Export
2x JPEGs typically should be compressed more than 1x JPEGs, so being able to individually set quality would be extremely useful, otherwise I have to do two separate exports (each with a different quality) and merge the results.

Maintain creation order of artboards when exporting to pdf
Artboard export to pdf is currently top left to bottom right. When linking to the PDF from InDesign this may mess up the links if artboards are rearranged or added later.
An option to change this behavior to be closer to Illustrator would fix this issue. I.e. export in order of creation.
Unless there is another way to reference XD files from within InDesign?

Cannot import XD SVG into Illustrator

書き出したSVGをイラレに持っていくとデータがかなり抜け落ちてしまう。4 votesI believe the new version of Illustrator released in November had some changes to address this issue. Could you please try again and let us know if this issue is fixed?

Export the full unmasked image even when its a shape layer
When images are placed in shapes rather than an actual mask, there's no way to export the full image rather than just the image in its masked form. It would be great if we could do that. At the moment, I have to open the image in photoshop and export it from there in order to get the full unmasked version.

Determine format of subsets of batch format
I routinely want to export some assets as SVGs and others as PNGs, still others as JPGs. The current Batch Export shoots out all marked assets in one format, but I'd like to be able to specify "format groups" somehow, so that one Batch Export command would export the marked assets in the specific format I need.

copy as pdf
Could it be added the function of "Copy as PDF"? When I copy and paste directly an asset or artboard to clipboard. It seems convert it to png file type now. Actually it will be more efficient than menu command "export to PDF". And in the Ai or Indesign copy as PDF to clipboard is a basic feature. Hope for that, thank you!

Increased customization of exported assets
1) Similar to the Asset Export window in Adobe illustrator
2) Easy to Select All / Deselect All
3) Easy to rename (each asset individually) and format (add prefix/suffix and replace text of multiple assets)
4) Select multiple export formats at once: PNG+SVG+WEBP+etc...2 votes -
Expose Libraries (Components) as Self-serve Portal for collaborators
It would be incredibly helpful to expose some of the Export dialogue options for non-designer team members.
- Allow free, and authorized users to browse an Adobe XD Library (specifically components and component states)
- Give users the ability to export Library components/assets from the web with tools similar to the "Asset Export" panel in Adobe Illustrator.
- Right now the tools on the Library website are incredibly clunky and not user-friendly. They are not designed for presentation and browsing, and it is hard to see details in the images in the “Share” link export. Thank you.
It would be a huge workflow relief…

Maintain layer structure on export to After Effects
Figma can export their files to XD WITH all the folders. Everything is perfect.
Why can't XD do the same when exporting XD to AE? Right now we get massive layers losing folders and all the required organization of elements.
Both products are from the same company. Seems it should be easy. :(2 votes -

Unfortunately I must to agree with many other responders; exported pdf files are still to big.
It looks like nothing has changed or is added to this issue. There should be some setting tools to specify the pdf size. Please, open these feature again...2 votes -
