quick access to local document assets in the new library panel
Asset panel had been always just one click (or shortcut) away. With XD 34, after a click, you need to see what's there, then navigate through the panel if document assets are not there. So there could be more cognitive load and extra steps for users.
Plus, it was possible to open both cc library (global assets) and asset panel (local assets) at the same time. Now you are forced to switch between local and remote assets when your task need both (or, graphics and components). Working with other design tools gets a little more fiddly because of this.
Finally, in the new library panel, two different types of objects (shared document assets and cc libraries from other tools) are listed with no visual clue to differentiate them, which is a bit confusing as they serve different purposes. Listing 'local' document assets with those 'shared' libraries makes the list look more complicated it seems.
(Off topic. 'Add / remove cc libraries' is a great new feature, but why you always have to start a new project by removing unnecessary libraries of past projects?)
Something that can be 'pinned' in the library panel as a way to access document assets (like an independent foldable local document assets pane) might solve most issues here.

I think the idea to integrate the libraries to clean up the UI was good - but broke the way that many folks use libraries - especially the ability to move assets and styles between a working XD file and one of many various libraries. The right click move to / copy to option that is available in libraries should also be made available in the document assets so that we can easily move something from a working file into a library. The document assets panel should operate just like any other library and maybe include the option to convert the document's assets into a library with 1-click.
The new workflow is a little painful to move colors from the document into a library without first moving them into an art board. Image shows half dozen items I want to append to a library but the only option is to delete them from the document assets...
