Delete shared links directly from within XD
It should be possible to delete a shared link within the file or at least regenerate a link, not only through the link manager.
For example, if I use a file created for project A for another purpose (project B), the existing link is no longer relevant for the project B but is still relevant for project A. So I need manage this link within the file

Please fix this, it is very annoying when you copy a previous project as a starting point. Simply can't remove the old link without deleting it completely (using the link manager).
Just found me a solution... Don't copy your document in your (Windows) Explorer. Just open the XD document you want to reuse and Safe As Local Document. It will clear all existing links within the document.

Or let me at least remove a link from an artboard... I have to create a new artboard, all my guides are gone...

Need this! The design is cumbersome.
Beside the Flow title we need a delete button. Clicking the title should switch to edit mode to edit the title of the flow. These options should be available in the share tab in addition to the Prototype tab.

This functionality should already exist in the app. So annoying that I have to open a browser to remove a link when I should be able to do it right in the app.

The link in the XD-file MUSST be erasable!! Very unprofessionell and annoying

This is especially relevant when wanting to duplicate the document. If needing to clear or edit the links in the new document, the only way around it seems to be to not duplicate a document but instead having to copy and paste all the artboards to a new one. However, the prototyping set up does not carry over when done this way! Argh.

We should be able to "disconnect" links from a file. This happens when you use a client file that you like as a template. Now when you try to duplicate and "save" the template file, it will bring the links along. Looks like the only way around this is to make a new file, copy the artboards over.

yes! this is so annoying - I didn't know the same shared links were being copied each time I 'Save As' the file - so the client was constantly able to access the file with the public links to the concept file as I made iterations. Very unprofessional and I can't delete the link from the new file!
My workflow now is create a blank document and copy all the pages and components and styles from a Master Document. Then create shared links in the new document. It's only a work around, better flow would be as suggested previously, Save As with option to clear shared links AND option to clear links while in a document.

Because I create different prototypes by doing a save as and then tweaking the art in the new saved prototype, I've overwritten my previous shares many times! It's very frustrating.
Please release an update that doesn't copy the shared public links after doing a file save as.

I didn't see your response here until now Arun, but yes that is how I am looking at the problem. The attached image shows a file I am currently working with.
It started as the DES-387 file which was shared out and then duplicated into the DES-416 file and shared out and then duplicated as the DES-429 file and shared out. There is no way to remove those other links from the list on this twice duplicated file. The other two files in the chain still exist and are still shared out in their respective files.

I would love the OP post...not so much the delete on save as the admin said. The option would be cool, but we often version local files where the persistent link has become really useful. Cloud docs w/ versioning isn't going to be viable for us until team-based file organization / an offline access (ideally like dropbox desktop or gdrive) is possible.

I have the same problem as everyone in this thread. Needs to be fixed. Have already sent wrong link to client and developers and client starts to think i don't know what i'm doing and starting to talk about not using an unfinished tool like XD and wants to switch to Sketch. :/

Here, wouldn't that fix all these problems? It would sure fix my issues with current inability to clean up all the links within Adobe Xd.
- add delete functionality for existing links to Adobe Xd.

BUG: Deleting a link from the cloud via a browser does not remove it from the document. Now if I'm in a doc where I deleted its original link, it still displays in the drop-down list. How Adobe, uhg such cringe.
Not only that but if you make a new doc based on another doc that already had a link, that link will be in that new doc? What

Before the changes to the sharing setup, it was a matter of changing the name of the share link in the copied document and it would create a new one, but leave the old one alone so that stayed connected to the old file. Now it retains that information and I do as others are saying and copy most of my files to a new one for a starting point.
This will quickly get out of hand if I continue to make files the same way.

In fact, we need both.
- Clear shared links while saving as
- Manage links within the file, so we can clear them when we duplicate a file in the system file explorer -

I was thinking of a way to remove them manually in the file, but removing it while "saving as" is even more relevant.

Yes !
it's even better:D

If I understood your ask correctly - Save as of an existing XD document should not carry over existing published links from it. Is that understanding accurate?
Thanks!
