Revert to previous 'Share' UI
The previous 'Share' UI was fast, simple, and easy to use.
This new UI is confusing, unnecessary, and wasteful. Was it designed by the same people who created the new AdobeCC UI????
A) The new 'Share' Tab is useless. I can already see what I'm sharing on either of the other tabs - having a 3rd tab is completely asinine unless there is some helpful functionality to this screen/view.
B) The only functionality I have in this state is 'zoom' - a state I cannot exit once I've clicked on the 'zoom' tool. AND the keyboard/mouse shortcut I actually use to zoom ALL THE TIME (ALT+Mouse Wheel) doesn't even work.
C) Instead of the 'Share' trigger being on the top right - logically close to the preview functionality, I now have to remember to look for it on the opposite side of the screen in a place I will never expect it to be - because it's not logical to my workflow.
D) The whole side-pane 'Share' UI is a hot-mess of bad design choices.
1) The link you are copying should be at the bottom - as the last of the interactions you are going to be taking in the sharing process. People (in the US & English speaking countries) read top to bottom, left to right.
2) Now instead of having to decide between 2 simple sharing options, I've got to choose between 5 sharing options - and remember what the minor differences are between them. This is so much more confusing - why not just give me control over what options I do and don't want via those checkboxes, which are pretty much the same for all of those options anyway. Also - to view help for this feature I have to view in browser??? Are you kidding me?
3) It makes more sense to choose what group you are going to be sharing with before you start sharing with them. It also makes it less confusing to remember who you've shared what with and allows you to update for those groups independently of each other.
4) Once I've selected 'Who has access' - I no longer have the ability to create a different link for a different group because this 'share' option is now greyed out and inaccessible. So if I had previously created a private link and needed to switch to sharing so anyone could view - that option is no longer available to me.
5) The 'Invite' button (which is the 2nd step in the process) is now a button that lives to the left of the 'Create Link' button - remember, people read left to right, so the 2nd step is now the greyed out 1st step (according to what the design is communicating anyway...)
So many of XD's new features are great - well thought out, intuitive to use. But this whole interaction - which I sometimes have to perform multiple times a day - is SO FREAKING DIFFICULT now.
This makes me want to abandon XD for other programs. UGH.
