Place images like InDesign
It would be great if XD can place images or psd files into design like indesign. And also linked files must be updated in XD after editing images or psd files.
For example; while creating a landing page, the hero image is a complicated design; designed in photoshop. Right now if i wanted to edit hero image i have to open psd file, edit it, export it and place it to XD. But it can be like indesign; cmd+double click placed psd file on XD then PS opens, i edit and save then on XD updated new image on screen.

I totally thought this was how XD worked with images until I tried it for the first time. This is why InDesign is so brilliant. Why wouldn't XD work exactly the same way? Right now, XD is creating way more work for all of us.

Please create a feature/plugin to see link images placed into XD like the indesign links palette. Also allow a collect for all the links used in the XD document.

In agreement. A links palate is extremely important, as we need to properly identify the links in use to add these to our asset management tool as part of our process. Extremely important.

This would be key in many ways within our workflow. One for keeping the latest version of an image updated as it may be used in other non XD tactics and we would want it to show as modified.
Also, from the packaging aspect to deliver to our clients DAM as they need the original (hi-res) PSD, TIF, etc that would have been placed in building the tactic (the source document). -
