Keyboard shortcut for searching elements
Cmd+F, Ctrl+F to launch the layers panel and give focus to search
with the key ctrl + f you can search for elements
same as browser
I’ll adjust this to focus on the shortcut, but you can already search through elements in your layers panel in the search dropdown at the top of the panel.

I definitely think that Adobe should envisage adding a cmd+F (find/change) to XD, that could be cool maybe if it will let you look for things not just through words but maybe colours, styling and more.
It will be very useful for when people are working together on 1 big file using co-editing, and too many Artboards are in there.

This is an excellent idea! A keyboard shortcut that highlights the asset panel search field would save some production time.
Right now my workaround is combining the "Artboard Quick Navigate" plugin with a custom MacOS keyboard shortcut. Ideally though I'd prefer to use the asset search.

Bump. Specifically:
As a designer I can use a hotkey to initiate a Asset search so that Assets can be filtered quickly (without having to select the Assets menu option and then the search field)
As a designer I can use a hotkey to initiate a Layers search so that a Layer can be located quickly (without having to select the Layers menu option and then the search field)
