Define sections for Design Specs (organization)
A better way to create sections for screens like Invision and Zeplin.
Current way is making it difficult for developers to track down screens.

Hi Arun,
I'm concerned about both aspects. The grid view just stacks all of my artboards into one with no idea of the flow, this effects mainly engineers in our business as the designers use xD so can see the orignal canvas with the artboards grouped, titled and badged up. (see screenshot)
I don't mind closing my request to vote for this one where there seems to be more comments of people sharing the same issue.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your feedback. I see your point about "having to explain to the engineers which artboards are from which sections".
Is the main concern of your developers about not being able to see the flow fully (because Grid view is currently showing 1 level deep linked screens), or is the concern more around Designer not being able to use design specs and communicate something around a group of artboards?
If it is about the first one, then we can show the flow from a given artboard to another linked artboard and then extend this capability to see further links below in Grid view.
But if the concern is about second point, then one way to achieve grouping will be by - naming your artboards within a group with similar names, and then filtering them using the search capability in Grid view.
Please note that we are hearing all your feedback and want to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks!

TLDR
The ability to group artboards into sections, the ability to choose which artboards are shown to the person your sharing the file with (not just the ones you link in proto mode), and better commenting ability.
The issue
I’ve just updated to the latest version of xD. Some of the engineers that I share my work with have pointed out that the artboards are now easier to view at a glance in the new thumbnail mode but are actually much harder to discover/understand the flow. This issue is because there’s no way to say that a particular group of artboards belong to one section of the app, this used to be represented in the old view as it mimicked the layout of the original file.
The new view will need some work to become useful in my opinion. The ability to group artboards into sections, the ability to choose which artboards are shown to the person your sharing the file with (not just the ones you link in proto mode), and better commenting ability. This update for us as a team is actually a step back because I’m now having to explain to the engineers which artboards are from which sections. Is there a vision on where this share feature is headed, it would be great to understand the direction xD is moving in with the team sharing (sharing with designers, devs and PMs) because this is one of the few areas that keep tempting me towards Figma as it does collaboration so well? Thanks! - For context my Prototype is 102 screens and is only one part of the app
