Access Shared for Review documents with XD mobile apps
Currently if you share a document using the Share for Review function the receiver can only see this document on a web browser. This has limitations, both on viewing experience (browser chrome gets in the way) and performance.
It would be great if the prototype could be seen directly inside the mobile XD apps instead, under the Shared with You section.

It would be great for customers to be able to open a prototype link within App XD without having to be logged in. The performance of the prototype in the app is much superior to the browser and also the visualization is better without browser status bar.

I am also wondering when Adobe XD is fixing this. Sharing with customers via the browser is not optimal in case of an app design. It would be great if clients can choose to open a link in the browser in the Adobe XD app (without having to login with an Adobe account)

How does XD handle or not handle this today?
Save prototype/XD file to the cloud
Invite participant to join the cloud file
What happens if participant does not have Adobe account?
Participant has to install XD mobile app on their device (tester would have to provide instructions and link to do this)
In the XD mobile app, participant has to navigate to cloud documents and open the prototype (tester would have to provide instructions on how to do this)What is the primary blocker?
sharing a prototype to test participants who may not have any idea what Adobe XD is.
The complex setup process is a barrier to test participant recruitment or test completionHow are you managing this today?
Creating a prototype mocked up on a mobile device that can be viewed through the XD share featureWhat is the expected behavior?
A simplified share feature that packages the above steps into a single communication/invite
Participant does not need an adobe account
*if possible, user does not have to download a separate appWhat problem does this solve?
Testing mobile apps as mockups in a desktop browser presents many test artifacts that have to be accounted for when processing the data from the test. This has a high risk for creating unreliable data. By enabling the participant to interact with the prototype on a mobile device we can give participants a more genuine experience and, in turn, provide more reliable research data. -

Can you answer why when you design a native app in XD then share the link to the prototype, you can’t preview it in fullscreen on a mobile device. It needs to preview without the browser address bar and bottom nav? This is the only thing stopping XD form being the leader.
InVision has figured it out why hasn’t Adobe. It kills the experience for a client to not be able to view a native app experience like the real thing.
This could be solved by creating a mobile viewer app that anyone can download to there phones and displays the prototype at fullscreen. Also no login needed to view it either and allow for users comments and feedback.
Please fix this ASAP.

The issue is simple. What we all want is to be able to view and comment on XD designs from the iOS mobile app. Currently this app is useless.
When a designers shares a link with us (either by producing a link or by inviting us by typing our email) clicking that link on mobile devices only shows it in the browser (Safari in iOS' case) and not inside the app. There is no way that I have found to view and comment in the XD mobile app, even if it's connected to the Adobe account that the design was shared with.
The suggests below make sense - to automatically open such a link in the XD app and not in a browser. For example if someone sends me a Twitter link and I click it in on my mobile email client, the Twitter app will be launched and navigate to that link and not the device's browser.
I hope this makes the topic clear and it's really first grade of how develop mobile apps.
An urgent fix or workaround will be highly appreciated. What I'm currently doing is asking the designer to export it to PDF and send as an attachment, then I comment on Adobe Reader. This is not a good way to collaborate between several people. -

It'd be great if the XD Mobile Apps could open Live Preview documents without the user needing to log in. For example, sharing with clients.
While it's possible to run them in a browser, using a shared link - it's just not quite the same seamless experience the app offers.
Can shared links be adjusted to be openable in the mobile apps?
Most websites nowadays have the 'Open in App' deep linking - would be good if XD did the same. (See screenshot)

I have the same issue. We build prototypes for others to try out and review. The XD mobile app would be ideal for this except it appears they can only view in a browser; meaning double bars top and bottom with a url thrown in. Not ideal for my end customer demoing to their prospective customers.

Currently I am able to share a project link with a client.
They can open the link on a mobile device, however this will open in their mobile browser. The issue with this is the design is cropped by the browser's navigation bars. It is not viewed as intended by the designer.
Proposed solution:
Allow links to launch within the Adobe XD app. This would allow users to sign in as a guest and view any shared link (read-only) full screen, as if it were a native app.
Alternatively, a far simpler sharing workflow would be including a feature where designers are able to share a link to clients which allows them to download a packaged native app (Marvel do this currently for Android only) which would then of course, open full screen.

To be fair, I would love to have this feature: Be able to share for review to the mobile APP and not only web. Because our marketing team would be more engaged as they will be able to see how it feel on their devices!
If I invite for edit, people can see on their mobile app.... so maybe it is the workaround?

What would solve some review issues with mobile app designs; is to allow stakeholders to download the XD mobile app (not designers) and for them to be able to open the shared link https://xd.adobe.com/view/xxxxxx/ and then they can view the prototype on their device similar to how an app works (without having to create a CC account). It's way to large a document to share the whole file with a non-designer stakeholder.
Xd Viewer app tried to solve this issue, but it is slow and glitchy. (please see what they tried to do)
I find using the browser Safari or Chrome on a mobile device (iOS) very glitchy and slow, also if you save the link to your home screen there is this annoying "Done" menu bar which keeps appearing at the top, and when you click done it takes you back to the first screen of the prototype (which is very annoying). So one never really gets to navigate around and experience how the prototype would work as an app.

I never had any luck making the browser chrome disappear and I tested my prototypes extensively on iOS 12.1 (Safari) and Android Pie (Chrome). So if it's possible to make it go away, I never found out how.
As for performance, that's simple to explain. My client has supplied me with an iPad Air 1. Viewing my prototypes in the Adobe XD app results in an acceptable experience, I can see some slowdowns, but it's minor. Viewing the same prototypes on a browser results in an extremely laggy and unusable experience.
Fortunately the client himself has a much newer and faster iPad so he doesn't notice anything, but I can see how viewing the designs in a browser is a much worse experience. Now, you can say that an iPad Air 1 is pretty outdated device, and that's true. But it's also true that a lot of low powered Android tablets are sold daily, so being able to see the prototypes in a optimized XD app is still very important!
Thanks for getting in touch with me.

Hi Luís,
While I see your point about browser chrome still present when viewing a prototype on mobile web browser, I am not sure I understood the issue with performance.
Can you elaborate more on why you felt the performance of viewing prototypes on mobile web is slower? Any specific examples that you can share will help us dig into this further and improve the experience.
On the viewing experience as well, we have recently made some improvements where-in maximum real estate is now used to show the prototype in its glory. Browser chrome on most browsers go away after some time allowing you to see the full height prototype. Please give this a try and let us know your feedback. I am eager to hear more from you.
Thanks!
