Keep objects pinned to center when resizing an artboard from the center
When option-dragging an artboard handle, all of the elements on the artboard remain left-justified. I would expect this function to keep all elements centered on the board. I believe this is how it used to function.

Why is Adobe XD even programmed to do this? There's no use-case for this.

What we need is to resize the artboard WITHOUT adjusting the grid or content.
I just want to add more real-estate to the sides while keeping everything centered as I increase the artboard size. My artboards setup with an 1140px, 12 col grid, and resizing the artboard increases the width, which I do not want. Think of it like increasing the artboard on either illustrator or Photoshop. The content does not change as you increase the artboard. -

Many (if not most) webpage designs are based on a center aligned layout (equal margins on left / right) so there really needs to be an option to scale the size of an arboard from the center. I need to change the size of 20 webpage designs on 20 different artboards from 1920 to 1600px. Like every other website I've designed, the layout has equal margins on left and right. I will now have to adjust the positioning of all elements of every artboard after changing the size of the artboards to 1600px wide. This is a huge headache and I'm really suprised by this lack of options for a basic yet crucial task in XD. "Responsive resize" does not work in this scenario (e.g. 3 columns of text get compressed together so that they overlap, etc)
I can't believe this request feature request doesn't have more upvotes.

YES, THIS! I was stunned to discover yesterday that this isn't already the case. The current behavior makes *no* sense. If I'm going to the trouble of holding down Option then it's much more likely that I'm wanting the entire artboard to scale from the center relative to its contents than just relative to the canvas as a whole. Instead, the current status forces the user to manually adjust the position of all of the artboard contents after the size change, including custom page guides. PLEASE FIX THIS.

An option like photoshop artboard resize could be useful. You can select where you want to align the objects in the artboard.
Responsive resize also resize all the objects in artboard.
Thanks

Hi Elaine. See below for my comments regarding responsive resize.

You can't see my keyboard shortcuts, but I started out with a normal click and drag. Then, when the artboard resizes from the center (but the elements remain left justified), I'm holding the option key. I thought maybe this was a bug from an existing XD file (from a prior release) but I am able to reproduce this with a brand new file.

Again, I don't want elements to resize... just the artboard.

If I click responsive resize, the content of the artboard does remain centered to the artboard, and resizes, when option is held while dragging the artboard resize handle. But with responsive resize unchecked, the content remains left justified, while the artboard resizes from the center (again, when option is held). I can share a video, but I don't see where I can do that.
