Grid options on publishing a design spec

Designers should be able to have the Grid enabled or disabled overall, or for any artboard in addition to visible/hiddensettings. Having to enable every grid on artboards before publish seems like an unnecessary part to add to the work flow.

The Layout grid could simply have 2 Main options:

Enabled - if enabled, the developer on design specs would be able to view/hide the layout grid
Disabled - if disabled, the developer on design specs would not be able to turn on or view the layout grid

And then the normal checkbox of viewing would still applied if "Enabled" has been selected.

We will often push design specs multiple times a day and it would be nice to not have to select all artboards and enable before any given publish.

    You should be really dumb who ever finalize the option on XD viewer to not to have grid toggle button.

    At least turn off the stupid tooltip that pop up first thing you open the preview!

    100% agree. I realize that the XD Team was probably phasing in being able to have a grid of all canvases when they had the "Share for Development" as a link that showed the whole XD file with all the canvases laid out, but I really, really loved the old version. It was tremendously valuable in my workflow, because others could see progression vertically and horizontally, which is not available when using grid. It would be absolutely amazing if there was an ability in preferences the option to turn off grid for the see all canvases as laid out like the pre-grid style that was like Mural.ly but far more useful. I lay out flows with mobile and desktop side-by-side, but there isn't a 1-for-1 as mobile screens require more progressive disclosure, so with the grid view, any order is completely lost.

    Is there a way to enable grid (Square size ) in the developer mode spec?

    Yes ! Developer should be able to show/hide the grid on design specs.

    Include an option to toggle an artboards grid on and off in the Design Spec
