Publishing - choose what & how to publish
Hello,
I love Adobe Experience Design but I something find myself overwhelmed while working (because I like to organize certain stuff in certain ways). For that I thought about a solution that may help others too.
Publishing without linking (I'm currently working on a project and I have to do changes pretty often because I have to add/replace/change pages and locations and I have to start re-linking everything a lot)
Publish only the "checked" artboards (for example, I want to publish only the homepage and login page, but for now, in order to do that I have to link only those 2 and if I already have 15 artboards linked I have to unlink them).
Publish the "checked" artboards in a certain order (like in Illustrator, it doesn't matter where they are on the canvas, as long as you have them organized in the artboards panel)
Sorry if I'm not coherent, it's 1 AM where I live and it's been a long day.
Any feedback, comments & recommendations are welcomed.
Hope the picture helps.
Thank you.
In this month’s release, we released a feature that enables you to share selected artboards. To learn more, check out our blog post: https://blog.adobe.com/en/publish/2021/05/11/new-ways-to-collaborate-adobe-xd.html

But please, dear Adobe XD team, add the possibility to select also the artboards that are not linked to the prototype, e.g. in some projects I need to publish additional artboards like styleguide or alternate version of the same components within the same share link, but not as a part of prototype. At the moment I need to create fake links that don't make sense in the prototype, just to publish these additional artboards.
This was mentioned so many times and still was missing in the upcoming features (like in the "Flows" feature). -

It's ridiculous and has been since v1.0. The only situation where the artboards have to be linked with interactions before sharing is USER TESTING!

Yes, publishing only selected screens is really useful.

Selecting with mouse arrow/pointer on the canvas (like Craft in Sketch) should be the easiest and fastest way to share design on specific artboards to stakeholders for the first design steps (without prototype functions!!! That's not needed in that state!!!). In that state I have dozens of design variations that I HAVE to keep for the stakeholders but not want to publish/share!

It's a real problem for me too. I am creating all the screens for an app in one XD Project and sharing with wiring is kinda messing things up for me. I am currently working with 104 artboards and i only want to share some of them for design review without messing with my prototype or creating lots of XD projects for one app.
Selecting artboards for sharing would be really nice. -

I think the same way. It's so complicated at the moment and makes my work hard. Wonder why there are no more votes …
