Multiple overlay support
I would like if I could overlay multiple artboards on one artboard. for example. on the prototype I'm working on, tapping on the search icon is suppose to overlay a search text box, which is one artboard and is to slide left at the top. but I would also wish to overlay another artboard for the keyboard which is to side up from the bottom.

It would be great if you could tap one button linked to two separate artboards that overlay and animate at the same time. For example, you click a search icon and a search bar slides down from top, and a keyboard slides up from bottom at the same time. As far as I know you can only have Tap linked to one artboard at a time, when you link another artboard you only get the option for Drag, Keys & Gamepad, and Voice. This feature would be very helpful.

Why would this need to be different artboards though? You could make the text input a different state of the search bar/icon component. Same with dropdowns, just do it on the component level and then you could have it available anywhere in the prototype as if it's the real thing.

Let's say you want to make a link from a dropdown menu transition to an overlay dialog box that greys out the entire screen.
Currently not possible as the dropdown menu is already treated as an overlay, so the overlay after that will be based on the previous screen (which is in itself, a smaller overlay). So when you prototype this, the last overlay to display (the dialog box) won't be aligned properly with the original screen because its' positioning is based on the dropdown menu as opposed to the original screen.

When clicking on an item on an overlay (the first) linking to an other overlay (the second), It would be great if you could choose whether the second overlay was either
- replacing the one it was called from (the first)
- stacked above the overlay it was called from. -

love adobe xd but i wish there would have been a slight update on overlays because its not possible to add different overlays to one single component for example:
If suppose i click on a email address bar in a login page then off course we want a keyboard to appear as well as a courser bar which showcases a typing symbol and what if i want to use emoji icon and speaker icon and return icon once the overlay appeared on the same screen. Its not possible to do so i wish adobe xd comes up with such updates soon:1) Must be able to prototype the same overlay for the same screen like using keyboard icons like emoji and numpad, speaker etc.
2) Must be able to provide multiple prototypes for the same component at once like clicking the email address bar and courser shows casing and keyboard should come at the same time, etc

a simple waiting animation/spinner also consists out of at least 2 combined artboards which are placed as "overlay"

I have a long scroll down screen with product listing. Multiple overlay will allow me to let the user choose multiple products from my list by using only two artboards - first one being the scroll down screen, the second one being a selected product state which will be applied to all selected items.
I have an old flash animation I did in 2001 where you overlay circles with different colour. It is very different then the above but a multiple overlay will allow its creation by having only 4 artboards - 1st one with all red squares then 3 small ones with the different button colour. Here is a video

This would be a killer feature to outline component transitions by time. Or showing a series of notifications. Lots of use case for this feature.

Two different overlays with one button/click, for eg- if there is a search button that you may want to add a search bar as well as a keyboard.
