Display shared prototype in device chrome
Ability to view or record the prototype based on the artboard that was used. Since there's already a list of specific artboards (iphonex, ipad, android etc.).
The idea is when you publish a prototype there would be an option if you want it to be view on a device. Same as when recording it.

Sounds interesting. By the way, I would like to recommend a professional post about dvd copy protection.

Check out https://xdframes.com/ They have created custom XD files that allow you to preview you prototype in a device frame.

I've got product owners who a banging on my door asking for their prototype links to look like the device it's for. We've recently moved away from InVision and they feel like XD has taken away functionality they are used to.

XD needs more options when sharing a prototype - simple things like showing a phone housing around a mobile prototype or even being able to change the background color that surrounds the prototype. Marvelapp and InVision both have some other handy features to tailor the prototype viewing experience and I think this is an area that XD could be improved a lot.

Is there any update on this feature?

Sometimes i get really surprised with lack of most basic functions in Adobe XD... disappointing

The point is not only to have the bezels, but also to be able to deal with the notch in a more elegant and effective way....

How is this not a feature yet? Figma and Sketch + Invision have had this for years. It's pretty pathetic how XD does not have it.

Doesn't make any sense that this wouldn't be included in XD since it's supposed to be the most current and most updated prototyping tool. This is a crucial feature that must be added to XD. A mobile prototype without the phone frame looks dated and just doesn't feel right.

I was really hoping this would be built into a new update after MAX. Not only is it good for clients to feel a more realistic walkthrough experience but for artist portfolios it looks really weird to have just floating screens. And it's a pain and super time consuming to mock these up in photoshop.

Ditto! Especially needed for previewing designs for iPhones with rounded corner screens and "notch" areas that overlap the design.

Yes please Adobe! This would be fantastic. Huge fan of that feature from Figma / InVision. Please integrate this ASAP.

Yes, I love that Figma has this, but I use XD more! Please add this feature!!

THIS! Figma has this and it is super helpful to help stakeholders have a better in context feeling of WIP prototypes. A definite must have

+1 This seems like low hanging fruit for Adobe. Come on guys.

Yes. Please offer mobile device skins for sharing XD art. It seems so simple. Please do this for Adobe XD.
I use InVision because my shareholders love the realistic looking mobile mock-ups.
Adobe even insinuates it here under "End-to-end experience of share workflow"
https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/share-designs-prototypes.html#viewsettings...showing the mobile skins as just another element within the actual XD file. For a scrolling page mock-up that mobile skin will just scroll up with everything else. Come on now :(
Am I missing something?

It will look good if emulator type of skin is added to preview windows for mobile designs rather than traditional windows/macOS theme. I don't like this traditional skin in preview window it should look like the device in which the design is being made for

I'm still waiting for this feature as well.

This would be a great feature!
Previewing on a device is important because:
- It gives you a better sense of scale
- It gives you a better sense of overall look when you already know what device is going to be used by a client
- It sells the design to the client better, because it will look more realistic
- It makes it easier to take into account the spaces where the camera/sound etc is on the screenBecause it is important to both designer and client, we need this feature in the Xd app and in the online prototype!
