Shared links lack the ability to copy text
Once a prototype is published and shared the text lacks the ability to be copied. This makes working with a remote team more difficult. It would be very helpful for developers to copy and paste the text to avoid the time and human errors of re-typing. Please add this function to the published prototype links.

Ok, so there's a feature that lets developers get everything they need from designers, except they cannot get the copy at all, so they still need to go into the xd document to get that. I cannot get the developers to use the share links because of all these things, please fix this....

I agree. This has been a huge setback in the workflow for my team.

@ Daniel Wabyick
I have tried the Publish option and it does work but there are a few drawbacks.
Developers are savvy enough to work with the Publish option, however, I'm also sending the prototype with a sizable amount of pages and content to our legal team and they either aren't familiar with the software or don't have the time to learn it to perform the simple task of coping the text. I should have mentioned this in the original description. If the Prototype link can eventually support the copying of text, it would be a valued feature.

Hi Jeremy,
Have you tried choosing the Publish option 'Publish Design Spec'?
That allows developers to instrospect your design and get the details, such as positioning, color and text values. It may not give you all the data you need in some circumstances, but it should greatly help.
You can get this by going to the share icon and choosing 'Publish Design Specs (Beta)'.
Note that in order to view the link, the developers will need to sign in / create an Adobe ID.
Hope this helps!
Daniel
