Export images in "webp" format
Please allow for images to be exported in "WEBP" formats.
Sketch caters for "WEBP" formats (see attached image) and it would be great if XD was able to (both read and) export to this format too.

Unbelievable that this isn't basic core functionality in this app. Adobe has really taken the feet off the gas pedal on this app, there's barely been any progress made in the last year -- very disappointing. Obviously importing and exporting .webp file formats is something that needs to happen immediately, if not sooner.

Genuinely disappointed in Adobe that in 2023 XD does not support webp images when almost all website are having their images converted to webp to minimize bandwidth. It's now becoming too expensive for us design pages in XD, with having to convert everything to PNG/JPG just to complete our designs that we have moved ALL our design work to Figma.

Come on Adobe XD, this should be a no-brainer for you guys. Your competitors like Sketch offer this natively, so where are you at? Reinvest in your future or fall behind. It's your choice.

Adobe being the big tech company they are and not supporting webp is disappointing. All adobe softwares, should have supported webp long ago. It's embarrassing.

Reducing the usage of bandwidth has a far-reaching impact to a company like Adobe & customers like us!!! We (customers) gets benefited in offering the fasted website which helps in ranking better in SEO & reaching more customers all by saving a lot of resources (compute, network & storage) being used.
FYI: https://developers.google.com/speed/webp/
WebP lossless images are 26% smaller in size compared to PNGs. WebP lossy images are 25-34% smaller than comparable JPEG images at equivalent SSIM quality index.
