This seems so simple.
XD is able to open psds with layers in place. This is Great! Buuuuut, how is it we can't work in reverse??? Adobe, if you really want to establish yourself as king (or queen) of the the prototyping apps, please expedite this feature ASAP! Seriously, I'm talking, like, the next update!
XD is all fun and games — until your client/developer tells you they prefer photoshop files and you find yourself having to completely rebuild as a psds. It sucks. Badly. Please hear us out.

Hi guys, I am the creator of www.Photopea.com :) People convert over 600 XD files to PSD in Photopea every day. You can convert Sketch, Figma and PDF files to layered PSDs, too.
Also, I gradually improve it. If something looks different in a PSD than in an XD file, just send me that file to support@photopea.com and I will look into it.

This is so important for all of us working with clients who need their designs in PhotoShop (or Sketch) so they are compatible with software they are using. I don't want to move to Sketch, but Web and app design in Photoshop are an absolute nightmare. I would have done it in 5% of the time using XD and then just exporting to Photoshop. Not being able to do it is a pain... Wasting so much time.

Will you be able to seamlessly integrate to Photoshop with the next update? Been using Photopea, but on complex builds it's still a nightmare. Clear transitioning in layers is a must-must-must! Otherwise XD is pretty awesome. Oh.... prebuilt animated type plugins would be aaaamazing too!

This is a must ADOBE, you need to take care of these compatibility issues within your apps. You want to lead a design user base, but how?

i used adobe lots of times with their nice support...
but why not now??? -

Adobe doesn't care. Use Photopea - one guy was more capable to code this feature than the whole XD team put together.

Yes, even thou I think it is not necessary and everything should be worked inside Adobe XD, many clients don't want to bother using other software that isn't photoshop

It will be nice having an option in the Export menu, for export all or specific artboard into a layered and grouped Photoshop PSD files. Many developers still use Photoshop for taking references from the design to code the frontend. This feature will be really helpful.

So do i, Exporting xd file to .psd is definitely in need all the time in the ui/ux design industry.

I too, will not be able to use Adobe XD at all until this feature is rolled out.

Photoshop is really difficult to use for web design, but all my developers ask for the PSD files. So PLEASE help make Adobe XD be the design tool but still able to export to PSDs with active layers for my programmers.

Please make available these features because it may very useful for all web designers and designers for exporting to xd to psd.

actually I want the opposite, completely prevent people from opening PSD's in XD and vise versa. stop giving a crutch to designers who refuse to learn the tool of the future

Its nothing to do with Photoshop being slower Marvin, (we all know PS is totally inappropriate for web design) its down to the Ludite programmers who refuse to use XD even though its brilliant. They want PSDs, its making my life a complete MISERY Adobe, having to use Photopea for every single page when you could just put it in the export menu. Sigh...

I really wonder why ppl want exports to PSD. as Photoshop is slower and doesn't have any values bringing you further in the process from UI/UX Design to a live system. Please don't waste time on features like this.
